PRODUCT CARE & USAGE GUIDE
To maximize the lifespan of your wardrobe, proper care is essential. Below are general guidelines for the materials commonly found in our collections. Always check the specific care label inside your garment first.
1. FOOTWEAR CARE
- Leather Shoes: Wipe dirt off with a dry cloth. Use a leather cleaner and conditioner every 3 months to keep the material supple. Avoid direct heat sources (radiators) which can crack the leather.
- Suede/Nubuck: highly sensitive to water. Use a specialized suede brush to remove surface dirt. We strongly recommend applying a water-repellent spray before the first wear.
- Sneakers/Canvas: Remove laces and insoles. Hand wash with warm water and mild detergent. Air dry away from direct sunlight to prevent color fading.
2. CLOTHING CARE
- Denim: Wash sparingly! Denim lasts longer if washed less often. Turn jeans inside out and wash in cold water to preserve the indigo dye. Hang dry.
- Cotton: Machine wash warm or cold. Tumble dry on low heat to minimize shrinkage. Pre-shrunk cotton is more stable, but high heat is always a risk.
- Wool & Cashmere: Do not machine wash unless the label says "Superwash." Hand wash in cold water with wool detergent. Lay flat to dry on a clean towel. Hanging wet wool will stretch the garment out of shape.
- Activewear (Synthetics): Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle. Avoid fabric softeners, as they clog the moisture-wicking pores of the fabric. Air dry or tumble dry on the lowest setting.
3. ACCESSORIES
- Handbags: Store in a dust bag when not in use. Stuff the bag with acid-free tissue paper to help it maintain its shape.
- Sunglasses: Clean lenses only with a microfiber cloth and lens cleaner. Do not use paper towels or clothing, as these can cause micro-scratches. Always store in the hard case.
4. UNDERSTANDING CARE SYMBOLS
- Washtub: Machine Washable. A hand inside the tub means Hand Wash Only.
- Triangle: Bleaching instructions. A crossed-out triangle means Do Not Bleach.
- Square with Circle: Tumble Dry. Dots inside indicate heat level (1 dot = low, 3 dots = high).
- Iron Symbol: Ironing. Crossed out means Do Not Iron (common for prints and synthetics).
- Circle (Empty): Dry Clean Only.
