Care & Usage Instructions

To ensure your garments and footwear maintain their quality and longevity, proper care is essential. Below are our general recommendations. Always prioritize the instructions found on the specific care label attached to your item.

1. CLOTHING CARE BASICS

  • Sorting: Always sort laundry by color (whites, darks, colors) and fabric type (heavy cottons vs. delicates).
  • Zippers & Buttons: Close all zippers and unbutton shirts before washing to prevent snagging.
  • Temperature: Wash in cool or warm water (30°C/85°F). Hot water is the primary cause of shrinkage and color fading.

2. MATERIAL SPECIFICS

  • Cotton: Machine wash on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry low. To reduce wrinkles, remove from the dryer while slightly damp and hang.
  • Wool & Knitwear: Do not use hot water. Hand wash in cold water with specialized wool detergent. Lay flat to dry on a towel to preserve the shape. Never hang wet wool.
  • Synthetics (Polyester, Nylon, Spandex): Machine wash cold. Avoid fabric softeners as they can coat the fibers and reduce breathability (especially for activewear). Air dry or tumble dry on low.
  • Silk: Professional dry clean is recommended. If hand washing, use cold water and never wring or twist the fabric.

3. FOOTWEAR MAINTENANCE

  • Leather: Clean with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust. Apply a high-quality leather conditioner every 2–3 months to prevent cracking. Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Suede & Nubuck: Extremely sensitive to moisture. Do not use water. Use a suede brush and eraser to remove dirt. We highly recommend applying a protective spray before the first wear.
  • Sneakers: Remove laces and insoles. Hand wash with a mild soap solution and a soft brush. Air dry away from direct sunlight and heat sources (radiators), which can melt glue.

4. JEWELRY & ACCESSORIES

  • "Last On, First Off": Apply perfumes, lotions, and hairsprays before putting on jewelry to avoid chemical tarnishing.
  • Storage: Store necklaces and earrings in individual pouches to prevent tangling and scratching.
  • Water: Remove fashion jewelry before swimming, showering, or exercising to prevent plating discoloration.

5. UNDERSTANDING WASH SYMBOLS

  • Bucket with Water: Machine wash (dots indicate temp).
  • Hand in Bucket: Hand wash only.
  • Triangle: Bleach allowed (Crossed out = No bleach).
  • Square with Circle: Tumble dry (Dots indicate heat).
