Make Your Clothes Last Longer: A Guide to Care Labels

02.10.2026

We often cut off labels immediately after purchase, and then wonder why our favorite sweater shrank two sizes. Small icons on the tag are actually survival instructions for your clothes.

Let's decode the main ones:

Bucket with water: Means washing. The number inside is the maximum temperature. If there is a hand in the bucket — hand wash only.

Triangle: Bleaching allowed. If it is crossed out — forget about chlorine.

Square with a circle inside: Tumble drying allowed. Crossed out? Air dry only.

Iron: Simple here. One dot — low temperature (synthetics), three dots — high (cotton, linen).

Save this guide and check the tag before every wash. This will save the color, the shape, and your money.
