The work belt is of terrific thick quality leather with a decent bronze buckle. My husband goes through a working belt every year & a dress belt every two. He pays good money for them. This time he found this family store on Amazon that sells these quality belts. He bought two, one for work, one for dress. The dress belt is made of a thinner leather but is of good quality. The leather on this belt is top-notch. It seems to meet its description of being full-grain, and it looks nice in doing so. Its a little tough, but it loosens up a little bit with use. I think that this is normal (as well as wanted and expected) for a thick full-grain belt. This is easily the best belt I have ever owned, beyond the awesome Dukes of Hazard belt I had when I was 4. Ive worn it for a few weeks, and in those few weeks Ive been up near the ceiling in a hot factory pulling cable. It has been hot up there. I have been sweating -- a lot -- on this belt in the course of my days. And while I understand that it can be normal, Im already seeing iron oxide rust on the buckle. I didnt expect this. I expected the buckle to be of stainless steel or brass, not nickel or chrome-plated cast iron or steel where the plating gets eroded and the whole belt. Because it is held together with Chicago screws, I can replace the buckle so it continues to look nice when I have to tuck my shirt in. But I do not have any other buckles. I just have this belt, with its included (rusting) buckle. Since it rusted in the first place, I must deduct one star. In summary: The leather seems awesome so far, but the buckle seems like it needs a grand re-appraisal of the whole stinking mess.

The two fasteners that secure the buckle on this belt are glued together. The back side has a flathead screwdriver slot, but the front end is just a smooth surface (ostensibly to eliminate any friction when buckling). However, since there is no way to grip the smooth front side, it’s impossible to break the glue lock and unscrew the pieces without damaging the belt. The comments tell you to grip the smooth front end with needle-nose pliers and then warns you to be careful not to damage the belt. But since that part is flush with the belt surface, the only way to grip it with needle-nose pliers is to dig into the leather to get the pliers around it. Some damage is almost assured if you do this. Poor design on an otherwise high quality belt. They could easily make the smooth front end with a flathead screwdriver slot just deep enough to get purchase to crack the glue. Then youd just need two screwdrivers and no damage would occur. Seems like they put little thought into what the typical consumers experience would be.

This is a very high quality belt. The leather looks and feels great. It is thick and substantial with a very solid buckle. Im wearing it everyday and I imagine it will be my main belt for quite some time to come. If came very nicely packaged and the shipping was tremendous. I had it two days after placing the order. I would also like to say that I am impressed with this company, Relentless Brands. Shortly after receiving my belt, I received a personalized email from Katie, one of the owners of the company. She wanted to know if I was satisfied with my purchase and, if not, to respond to her email so they could do whatever it takes to make it right. Suffice it to say, I am very happy with this purchase and the personal contact from the manufacturer just makes me want to do more business with them. when I opened the package I was impressed and I looked it over . this belt looks good and well made . had an insert explaining how this belt was made and the standards they go to insure this belt will preform. long story short its a great belt. when you receive this belt and try it out I think you will really be happy.
