Get this belt!!! I bought this because I heard about the product through Shark Tank... it looked very swanky so I held off until now. Im heading to a wedding in a couple days and received this through Prime one-day shipping. Packaging is GREAT and SIMPLE, I even got a handwritten "thank-you" note from one of the employees in the box. Oh yeah, the belt. The buckle mechanism is mind blowing after living through belt buckles that ended up fraying and going to the trash. The Mission Belt uses these ribbed indents that are sewn inside the belt and the buckle itself holds the mechanism that locks everything in place. Loosen at the ease of a small lever that lifts the lock and allows for super smooth take-off and landing ;) Also, the sound the buckle makes when you tighten is SOOO satisfying. Customer service is great, even when you go off the trail and onto the companys website. I was able to trim the belt because it had a little extra hanging off at a comfortable fit. They have helpful tutorial videos. Im gonna be buying this for my dad and maybe even my dog...

Just received my belt and though I love the concept, and for the most part the execution, I do have one minor quibble with the function of the release lever (hence only 4 stars). The problem I have may only pertain to guys like me who have a bit of a spare tire. Because my waist is a bit larger than my hips, I need to really cinch the belt fairly tight in order to avoid a wardrobe malfunction. And getting the belt nice and snug is no problem at all. The problem arises when there is an urgent need to quickly and easily release the catch on the ratchets when, for example, in a bathroom. The tension is so great on the ratchets that the release lever is extremely difficult to actuate (for me anyway). The obvious answer is to pull the belt a little tighter to release some of the tension while at the same time actuating the release lever. The problem with this approach is that the belt is already as snug as I can get it. So a bit of panic begins to set in. Finally, finally, after wrestling with the beast, it releases and all is well. But you begin to think about the day when it doesnt miraculously release and the consternation that might cause. The other thing is just a word of caution regarding trimming the belt. I used a Benchmade knife on a wooden cutting board and that worked very well. However, I probably took off about 1/2" to 3/4" too much. So I would advise trimming in two stages, leaving at least an inch more than you think you will need on the first cut. If youre a slim-to-regular waisted dude, without the need to have a belt fit very snugly, this is a 5-star belt.

Liked the belt itself and a big fan of ratchet belts overall. But have had issues with this one from the get go. The clasp on the buckle broke early on. Customer service replaced it without hesitation which was great. Then about 6 months later the rivets broke on the buckle and its now unusable ! I was never a fan of the release on this buckle either. Its a weird button underneath that took far too much precision and angling to get it to actually open. Oh well, I picked up a Slide Belts as a replacement which despite the higher price than most of the competition its been really good. No silly button release anymore, its got an easy pop up release.

Great looking belt and buckle. Comes in a pretty fancy box making it feel like a gift. I ordered the medium size but it ran a little large, which shouldnt be a problem, but unfortunately the ratchet track was too short, so I couldnt tighten the buckle enough (and I discovered this too late, few minute before attending a wedding). Ive purchased a different belt (from a different brand) at 32" before, which was too short, hence why this time I bought the medium size. But it seems I should be able to cut the strap at the buckle side to overcome this problem.

I cant recall how I heard about this product, but I know I was following them on social media. I was in the market for a new belt and I was tired of the same old thing. Additionally, I wanted a non-traditional color (blue). I decided to take a chance on a Mission Belt and I have been extremely pleased with the decision. Heres some feedback. 1. I purchased the belt new, via Mission Belts on Amazon. 2. I purchased the belt in a blue with a gun metal buckle. The color is exactly as represented. The belt matches the intended usage perfectly. 3. I havent had a ton of chances to wear the belt, but on the first wear I thought Id never get it off as the ratchet was tight. It has since loosened and makes for an excellent fit. 4. The ratchet buckle is ingenious and it is easy on and easy off. 5. From a style perspective, this belt could easily be work casual (which is my primary usage) or dressy. This is a great belt. On top of the belt, you can support an organization that gives a little of each purchase to a good cause. Ill be buying more as the need arises.
