Propper Tactical Duty Belt

I bought this belt for two reasons; one, I wanted an "all plastic" belt because we were travelling internationally and I wanted to avoid having to remove my belt at each security check. It was perfect for this. Second, I wanted a durable and semi-rigid belt for my hiking pants that would not loosen up. It also worked perfectly in that regard. If there was a 4.5 star rating Id have gone higher than 4. The only reduction in score comes from the fact that I found it hard to tighten. You have to pull the loose end of the belt back out of the buckle to be able to pull it tighter and, once in place, hold it with one hand while pulling it back through the buckle with the other hand. The pay off is that once you have it where you want it, it will not slip. I wear 36 waist jeans so I bought the 36-38 belt and it was about perfect. If you got one that was longer, however, youd have no trouble at all to cut it off to a desired length and apply a little heat to slightly melt the end to prevent fraying. Good belt. Buy it.

Very nice belt. Stiff plastic buckle, and the belt itself is stiff nylon. Good enough for everyday wear, and will work as a carry belt for most compact and subcompact handguns. Larger and heavier handguns are likely to overwhelm this belt, however. Stays tight, and does what it needs to do. If your only loadout on this belt is a keychain, small tool holster or cell phone case, it is going to serve you just fine. This is NOT a riggers belt or anything close to it, or any sort of military style belt for anything other than parade or garrison duty. Since it was brought up as a question... Mine did have the correct Propper tag inside, so unless it is a very good clone, it is legitimate.

See the belt buckle in the picture, with the Propper logo? As of May 2016, that isnt what you get. If this belt didnt get loose almost as soon as you put it on, the missing log wouldnt bother me. But my pants are falling down. Unless you need overpriced scrap nylon webbing for a project, this is a worthless product.

The belt seems to be well made. I bought it hoping to use it as a gun belt for an inside the waist band holster that has a clip that goes over the belt. Unfortunately the holster clip will not catch on the belt. The belt is too thin and too slick, and the clip just slides right off. Im sure it would work well for the holsters that you thread the belt through the holster. Also, I bought a belt in the size of my pants, as I read they run long. Mine fits perfectly without a holster. If i used it with a holster, I think there would just barely be enough tail to tuck into the belt loop. I bought a second one just to use when doing grungy work. It looks like it will serve that purpose perfectly. The buckle holds well, and the belt itself looks like it will last a good long while. I plan on using this belt for airplane travel soon. There is not a spec of metal on it, so it should pass TSA no problem. Overall I like the belt. It didnt do what I initially wanted, but as a work belt it will be good. It is well worth the price.

Goes great with my 5.11 tactical pants in stone. No metal, so they can be worn through airport security, too. Strong materials, and you know what else? They even keep my pants up! Having said that, this is almost certainly a knock-off. The word "Propper" is absent from the buckle, and the Propper logo (the star with lines through it) is nowhere to be found on the buckle or label. While its possible that its old stock, its more likely that its a fake. Since I hate logos on my clothes, its kind of OK with me that its not the real thing. I just dislike being lied to—which is what is happening if this is a knock-off, rather than the real thing.
