This is a review Of THIS BELT and the quality of it NOT a review of the "Ratchet Belt" design. I did post what I think of ratchet belts below for anyone who is curious, but it in no way effects the review of this specific one. This is a Solid belt, I wasnt going to review the belt until its good and worn in, but 2ish months in and Its still as nice as the day I got it. The leather is easy to size/cut and the ratchet is simple, and after a lot of use it still works as smooth as ever. The buckle itself has a cool design, in fact this is the only time Ive had a belt that got compliments. So from my eyes they have a great quality product. Will Edit if it rapidly falls apart. Thoughts On ratchet belts If you have never tried a ratcheting belt before. The concept is worth ALL the stars, its more comfortable, you can adjust it in seconds rather than having to go the bath room unbuckle, then hope the slot you pic will work.. With this its as simple as pull until you reach a comfy spot. Ate a big meal and now its too tight, un-couple and go down a couple clicks and its separated by very little increments, so you can always have it at your perfect size..

I like the belt a lot....BUT ... the switch to operate the loosening of the belt to a lower tier is a pain in the butt to operate. In the very first position, it is impossible to go to another position or even take the belt off. I had to literally undo the part where you insert the belt to remove it. And that took about 10 minutes for me to do and pry this belt off. And the slots start way too late on this belt. I am a 36 waist size and I could not believe how even the very first slot was very tight. And thats where all my problems with this belt started. Good luck unlocking this belt from the very first slot. The rest you still have to really have to have strong ass fingers to make the belt more loose. Once it is in place....it apparently REALLY is in place. This should not be this difficult. I will be contacting the manufacturer of this product to either return it, refund or replace it. But I think at this point, a refund is my best option.

I have been very impressed by these belts and buckles. They hold, they are comfortable and fairly durable. I have used one for about 6 months now of everyday and workday use. It has held up well this far. The only problem I have found, is that on occasion when doing something active or sitting in certain positions you can acidently bump the release on the side of the buckle, causing the belt to become loose. For a lot of people this probably is not an issue. If you are fairly active you may want to buy something that hold a little better for your active times. Also make sure to measure a few times before you cut it, as it is easy to cut it a little too short. Overall I love mine and it looks awesome and for the price it is almost perfect. I would definitely recommend this and will probably buy more. UPDATE After about a year of use with moderate activity and everyday use, one of the pins fell out and the belt will not hold together anymore. I was literally using this everyday and I feel like I got a good long use out of it and have ordered another.

Great looking product and easy to size to your need, the ratchet system is a lot more useful and interesting than the usual on belt. That being said this type of belt is better for looks only, i am not sure if its just because every time i sit down the button on my pants hits the lever but when i stand up it always loosens some and i do not even have it on that tight and im not over weight but i need a belt to keep dressed proper in public. but this would be a great belt for when you go to the buffet, you can easily loosen it as needed when consuming and when you get up with it a quick pull and its nice and tight and ready to go.

Ill start with the belt buckle. Overall is a very simple design. It looks like the same basic design of the Anson Belt. You have a magnet and a locking bar. So this is probably a Chinese knock off of their design. I actually sent back my first belt for a replacement because it would let the belt slip with the slightest tension. When I received the replacement it had the same issue. So I decided to actually look at it to see the issue. I concluded that the locking tab, shown in the picture I attached, wasnt engaging the teeth on the belt properly. I took a flat blade screw driver and just bent it down a little more. Problem solved! No more slippage. It holds like a champ. Anyone having this issue can fix it in like 30 seconds. So dont bother sending it back for a replacement. The belt part itself is only of middling quality. It says its leather.... That may be true, but if it is true the belt must only have a leather veneer on the outside. When you trim the belt to size you can see clearly its not all leather or even mostly leather. Time will tell how well it will hold up. So far no issues after 2 weeks of everyday use. I bought this product with my own money. Fyi.
