Ive been using this belt for about 2 weeks now and absolutely love it! The belt itself seems to be a good quality. The buckle itself really amazes me as it looks great and feels like a very solid build. Expect it to be larger and deeper than a normal buckle as it has to do the ratcheting. I found long ago a belt will hurt my back as well as cause stomach problems so having a belt that is a quick release to lengthen when I sit, then really easy to tighten when I stand is simply awesome! I did find I needed to cut an inch off the belt, and that too was simple. Thus far, nothing negative to say!

this is my second belt and for all the right reasons! used to have to go through my old belts to find one that would fit best with fluctuating weight. last Christmas i got one of these. after the first month i had donated every single one of those belts, just kept my the new ratchet belt. i cut that one to fit a bit smaller than i should have. so when i gained a couple pounds over these just past holidays it was just shy the length i wanted. so i happily ordered a second. this time i was more careful and cut the belt length a little longer just in case i need it on down the road. so now as i lose weight both fit. next year if i indulge too much, i am covered both figuratively and literally by my newest ratchet belt. as to quality my first one is now over a year old with zero defects or problems. i wore it regularly and got used to being able to get a comfortable fit every single time. this newest belt addition is just as good as the original. both in my estimation are perfectly designed. i could not be happier with both.

Pros: cool concept for a belt, the ratchet allows for precise fit, the buckle looks very nice, the color and style options were vast Cons: you get what you pay for and the leather feels a bit cheap, will not hold up to heavy wear and tear for long This is a unique belt style that is fashionable and functional. The leather feels a bit cheap, but you are not paying a premium here for top quality.

Summary: Despite some minor issues, I believe this belt has great value, function, and style, thanks to the various buckle options to choose from. I have been using this belt since Jan 24th, 2017. I use this belt every day on the weekdays. I found this belt to be very durable, the buckle itself is not light, and feels like it will last some time. The leather belt also feels durable and has a slightly waxy feeling on the outside. It is very easy to remove the belt from the buckle, cut, and re-attach the belt to the buckle. I have no worries of the belt coming loose. If I must find a complaint, it is that the buckles black paint is somewhat easy to scratch, revealing the shiny metal underneath, as seen in my pictures. So far, the belt is holding up well. For its price and multitude of options, I find no real complaint.

Surprised I am writing a review for a belt but I am honestly surprised how much I love this ratchet belt. Belt technology has finally improved! Waistlines change and the hole system is antiquated because more times than not your actual size will be between holes. The ratchet system allows you to very easily hone in on your exact size so its a comfortable fit for you. Its also faster to put on because of this. All you do is feed the one end through the buckle till you get the fit you want and it clicks into place as your feeding it. So no more stretching your belt trying to figure out what is the best belt hole to use. Maybe Belt Tech 3.0 will auto feed through all the pant loops making it even easier. That would be awesome. But seriously, I hate wearing belts and this belt has made it kind of nice. About the quality I got the buckle with hexagonal pattern and the shiny strip already has minor scuffing. Its a belt though and belts always take damage so not too surprised to be honest. Shiny stuff usually scuffs pretty easily so keep that in mind if scuffing bothers you when you pick your buckle type. Rest of the belt is like new so I dont regret my decision and I still like this buckle. Since this belt loses the holes, theoritically, you dont have to worry about stretching but only time will deny/confirm that theory. The leather quality looks and feels pretty decent though definitely NOT high end. What I am curious to see is how long the grooves on the back of belt hold up over time after constant use since that is what locks the position into place. I am also curious to see how the lever holds up over time as that is probably the bigger probable point of failure. Its pretty stiff in an awkward way so it might get too loose after a lot of use. Buy a bigger belt than you think you need. It is easy to cut to size as there is a trap door on the back side of the buckle that you can release the leather side that goes in there. So you dont need a pretty cut. Definitely do NOT cut the rounded side.
