When I first put them on I instantly knew that I found the perfect pair of sunglasses. I’m a big guy and it’s hard to find a nice pair that doesn’t squeeze my face. The product arrived very promptly through prime as expected. It came in super nice packaging, the wrapping and presentation was phenomenal. Even a nice thank you card with a smiley face. I can appreciate those little things, it makes you want to come back for sure. The glasses came clean and ready to wear. No visible scratches on the frames either. As one reviewer mentioned, the arms are a little stiff - making one handed use a little difficult. However it is stiff in a way that portrays a high level of quality - the hinges feel like they’ll last the test of time. Lastly, polarized lens are not always a good thing. They DO make driving during the day super clear and crisp. HOWEVER, most newer cars today have digital speedometer clusters, heads up displays, and center consol entertainment systems. Having polorized lens can make it slightly difficult and annoying when looking down to view those screens. Other than that, this is a phenomenal product and company. Five stars.

The plastic frames feel cheap in the hands and feel even worse when putting them on. The color of the lenses doesnt even look remotely close to what was pictured in the product photos. The left lens arrived with a few hairline scratches, which is totally not acceptable for sunglasses at this price point.

It turns out that the HD+ amber lenses are NOT polarized, though they are advertised as polarized. When looking at a polarized light source (e.g. an iPad screen, another pair of polarized glasses), there is no change in light transmission for any orientation of the lens. Seeing as it’s the entire point of the company, dropping rating to 1 star. I also ordered a pair of the green lenses, and they are only very weakly polarized. Compared to a pair of $120 Izod polarized sunglasses that cut about 90% of horizontally polarized light, the Polarspex lenses only cut about 10%. The giveaway is that I can still easily read the LCD screen on my phone with these on. If Polarspex are lying about the polarized lenses, I wonder if they’re lying about the UV protection as well. Unfortunately, there’s no easy way to test UV blocking. Seems to be fairly high quality for the money. Hinges are quite stiff out of the package and haven’t loosened up after a couple of days. Fit is good. Looks like the photos. No rough edges or obvious molding lines. Lenses are clear and tint is smooth. Included case is ok for a soft case, but the button snap is difficult to close when glasses are in the case.

These look alright and I basically got them because they are polarized, which is nice. However, after semi-regular use for a little over two weeks, I noticed the black on the frame rubs off on my skin, leaving me looking like a watered down raccoon. This is especially true when I sweat in them, which happens most of the time because they fit tightly on the face. They were only $10, so I cant expect much, but I wish I had just put that money towards a better quality pair of sunglasses. Side note: the felt case they send is pretty nice. Overall, I cant really recommend these unless youre looking for a pair of polarized sunglasses that you can wear in the ocean and wont care about getting washed away.

I bought these for my husband as a Christmas gift, so I feel that I can write a fair review 4 months later. First of all, I love that I was able to find these in a matte frame (I got the gray frames with the "smoke" lens). I feel that any face shape and gender can rock a retro wayfarer-style sunglass, and these definitely fit the bill. I would suppose my husband has an average-sized face (is that a thing?), and hes had no issues with the fit. The earpieces sit where they should, and the nose piece doesnt slide down the bridge of his nose. Hes not the type to be gentle or handle these type of things with great care, so I imagine these have been tossed around a bit and theyre in good shape...no popped lenses and busted earpieces. These came with a little snap-top carrying case, which has come in handy. Its soft and flexible, but seems to do a good job protecting the lenses, and keeping them from free-floating to the bottom of a backpack. Hes happy with the polarized lenses, and we live in snowy upstate NY, so these have come in handy while driving and snowshoeing. They do an awesome job of reducing any glare off the snow. We kayak in warmer weather, so I imagine these will come in handy when we spend time on the water. I like these enough and husband raved enough that I bought my own set. Glowing reviews all around and I would definitely buy more frame colors and funky lenses.
