So close to perfect. I think the design of this wallet is great with two exceptions. 1. I wish it was 1-2mm wider. I fold my USD bills in half and place them in the pocket on the left. They seem to stick out just a bit further than they should. The ends are tucked right into the hinge of the wallet when closed. 2. I wish the little grab handle used on the right side was about 1-2mm longer. Usually by the time I get my fingers on it, Im actually pinching everything on this side, so the pull handle does nothing.

I got the slim sleeve wallet on the recommendation from a friend at work and it has been a revelation. I used to always get the classic trifold brown leather wallet that everyone has. Just like everyone I crammed it with cards and receipts until it ballooned up to almost an inch thick. This wallet forces an economy of preference and priority that has changed the way I think about what I carry around with me on a daily basis. Seriously, a couple cards and some nicely folded bills are all you need. Simple, classy, streamlined. Stitching: To say the stitching has held up beautifully is an understatement. There isnt a single stitch or thread that has so much as frayed a little. It arrived in perfect condition with each thread in its place and ten months later they are still perfect. Leather: So far and the leather is wearing in quite nicely. The wallet is starting to show its age but in a very pleasant way. There are no cracks or rips, and there are no stretch marks where the wallet folds when it is opened and closed. Im glad I got the Arctic Blue but if you dont like your leather wallet to look worn in you might want to select a darker color.

I bought this as a gift and ended up returning it because the style wasn’t quite right for the person I bought it for, but it is definitely everything the description says it is! It has that modern, minimalist style withought giving up the look and feel of classic leather. The pull tab for the hidden card pocket works exactly as promised- I put my own cards in to test it and while it seemed like a tight fit the tab slid them all out easily. I was almost tempted to keep it for myself but alas I needed the money to purchase another gift. I wonder if there is a women’s style? That would go on my wish list for sure!

I loved this wallet when I first received it. The leather is supple and the design is superb. Unfortunately two stitches failed on the first day of use after only carrying it for a few hours. I never even got a chance to pull it out to pay for something, it simply sat it my back pocket for a few hours. Nothing else was in my back pocket, so it wasnt damaged by something else I was carrying. My previous wallet (from another company) has lasted for over seven years without issue, so this definitely seems like very poor workmanship. Other reviews appear to report the same issue. I mentioned my issue to a friend who carries a Bellroy wallet. He said he experienced the same issue with the same wallet. This is ridiculous for any wallet, let alone one of this cost.

Im not new to minimalist wallets. Prior to this wallet, I had an Infinity Wallet which is a few pieces of wide elastic that hold together all my cards and a few bills. It is smaller than this Bellroy wallet. But, whenever I pulled it out for a business lunch or otherwise, I always felt one step away from a velcro wallet. It just wasnt classy enough for clients, etc (vain, I know). This was primarily why I purchased this wallet. The surprise to me was how much more I like this wallet despite it being larger. It is very nice to have a few key cards front and center. I found that two cards could fit in each slot giving me 4 easy to grab cards. I have another 6-8 cards in the hidden pocket. This and a few bills fits very nicely. As an added bonus, I often travel with a bullet space pen in my pocket. It fits perfectly in the crease of this wallet without making the wallet any wider. Im a few weeks into using the wallet. My only concern is how long itll hold up. But, with their warranty, hopefully that will not be an issue. Also, many of my past wallets failed when the lining tore and would snag cards. Since this doesnt have a lining, Im hoping thatll be a plus. I get that this wallet is at a cost premium, but it really is a great wallet.
