This wallet is well made and should last many years. The magnet is more than adequate to hold 16 folded bills. (Check out the photo below.)

I have carried a money clip of the plain "paperclip" variety for several (12+?) years after the dilapidated wallet I had for almost 20 years was replaced by a beautiful eel skin leather wallet that my NEW wife got me for Christmas. Then, the first time I have ever done this (40+ year old here), I accidentally washed and dried it, to whit it was absolutely destroyed. I had been searching for just the right clip replacement clip, that would carry more cards than cash. Because who uses cash anymore? I VERY rarely have more than coke money in my clip for the vending machine. I was searching, mostly online, until my friend told me to search "magnetic wallet" which was a term Id never heard before. This opened up a whole new fantastic world for me! I was amazed by the variety and lameness of some of the results I encountered. Ranging from $9-$200+ I figured an acceptable "quality" starting place was less that $50 for trying something new that I might hate immediately. I looked at countless pages of these newly discovered man accessories for days. Amazon literally had hundreds upon hundreds of "magnetic wallets". I am a watch guy and have more than I care to admit that never get worn. However, every Fossil watch that I have ever purchased or received as a gift has been rugged and dependable. After many days of saving to a favorites list of about 20 clips, most of them being the nearly same product, I picked the Fossil for many reasons. Like many things the first factor one notices is the aesthetic of an item. Secondly, choice based due to my experience with their watches, thirdly, the price point was within my established range, and fourthly they had different colored leathers to choose from. I really liked the lighter tan better than the brown, but being a realistic guy on the go (RN), I chose the brown over the black and tan versions with a little guidance from the "magnetic wallet" suggesters perspective of my fashion style (I apparently like dark brown shoes and belts more than black, I did not know this.) This item seemed the perfect match. As soon as I opened the box I was in love!!! This item is what I have needed for all those years of forcing crap into a clip that didnt belong there, and unlike most people I have multiple cards I am REQUIRED to carry at all times. Everything from my clip fit in this with room to spare (including the random $26 in folding money I had for some reason). It fits very nicely in my front pocket, the cards dont slip, the magnet is pretty strong and the craftsmanship is quality which Ive come to expect from Fossil products. The leather has a nice feel to it, not too thin, the stitching appears strong, and each clip will be unique do to variations in the leather. So far, I am EXTREMELY pleased with this choice and will probably buy the light colored one as well :) At the $30 price point (I will admit I didnt check my local mall) I think this is fair. I look forward to seeing how this holds up and will totally recommend giving it a second or even third look if you are in the market!

Short Review: Ive really enjoyed this wallet, and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone and everyone whenever the discussion of wallets come up. Longer Review: Growing up, my dad was always a Bifold man, and I assumed I would be too. That was until I received my first wallet as a gift, and fell in love with the Trifold design. Cards on both sides, ID in the middle, and plenty of room for all that cash I seem to run out of so quickly. The only complaint I had was the thickness, but I learned to live with it, and that Trifold wallet served me well for a good 10 years. Fast forward to about a year ago when my wallet was showing its age, and I knew I needed an update. My buddy recommended the latest creation by the makers of his Wallet, EZGO. He had one of their hard plastic wallets, but I was eyeing their new leather unit. I ordered it, and loved the slim design that allowed it to fit in my front pocket. No longer would I shift uncomfortably during long car rides or extended stints at my desk, instead, my wallet shared a pocket with my Galaxy S7 with an Otterbox case, and I had room to spare. It held almost all the cards I had before (and I could have stood to shed some weight anyways) and without the bulge in backpocket I was free to show off my mediocre tush. That wallet, however, didnt stand up to the test of time. Within a few months, the card pocket lining (meant to block RFID strippers) was coming off, and within 9 months, it was hanging loose and blocking me from sliding cards in unless I wedged a finger in the slot to hold the lining out of the way. I also became less than enamored with the cash storage solution. It required the bills to folded over twice (increasing their thickness 4x) and to be shoved into a stretchy elastic pouch on one side of the wallet. With just a few 20s and 1s, the wallets thickness quickly doubled, and grabbing a smaller denomination bill meant pulling out and unfolding the entire wad, showing off my wealth (or lack there of) to the entire line at Subway. Then I found this Fossil Wallet, and I think Ive found wallet nirvana, my friends. With four times the card slots of my old wallet, I was able to my credit and debit cards in one, my ID in another, the rest of my membership/library/loyalty cards in a third, and my RFID door key for work in the last. No longer must I pull out the entire stack to access one card, everything is neatly organized, and really no thicker than before. And the money clip, oh the money clip! The magnet is strong enough that Ive felt my pocket pull away from my leg when I walk to close to a metal door, its glorious. A single fold of my bills is all it takes to slide them under the little latch, and I can even keep my bills in separate folds based on denomination, so someone may see I have a 100, but they wont necessarily know its only one 100, and not the four I claim it to be. The black leather is stylish and sleek, and quite durable (it survived a 20 foot toss onto concrete with only minor scuffing on the bottom corners, dont ask). It fits in the same spot my old wallet did, and its only slightly thicker due to the magnetic money clip, but its well worth it. My dad recently got a new wallet for Fathers Day, a new bifold. I smiled and congratulated him on his new accessory, all the while internally celebrating my infinitely better wallet. Perhaps Ill convert him someday...

I bought this money clip 10 years ago for my father in-law. He informed me that it was starting to look a little worn and if I saw another one to get it for him because he loved it soooo much. So of course I found it on amazon and ordered him another one. He loves it! This shows how great the quality is and how long the leather will last. The new money clip shipped really quick and came packaged so nice. It came in its own tin box and looked great for a gift. When he opened it, he instantly smelled it. It had that new leather smell. Its a little different from his original one, but he loved the improvements. Where the clip is, it now has a strong magnet there. So you can pull that clip back, put your money in and then the magnet shuts. The magnet seems really strong. He is not worried about his money falling out. Another improvement is instead of just one insert for cards, it now has 4 total slots for cards. One on the money clip side and three in the front. He instantly put seven cards in all four slots. It was a little tight, but he said you have to stretch out the leather a little. He was over joyed and loves this money clip. He said its so thin and light weight that he doesnt even know its in his pocket. I am very pleased with this! You wont be disappointed. Such good quality. ***please note- the last two pictures are his OLD fossil money clip after 10 years!!*** If this review was helpful, please click the Yes button. Thanks!

I used to carry around a thick bifold wallet with 10,000+ cards in it (slight exaggeration). It was annoying and always left a bulge on my butt! I got one of these thinking I could cut out some unnecessary cards (store loyalty cards). It works great! I still have about 7 cards in it without a problem, but its much slimmer than a traditional bifold. I now carry it in my front pocket too, which gives me a little piece of mind as I dont have to worry as much about pick pockets while traveling. I also have no problem having multiple bills with the magnetic closure. Ive had 10 folded bills and havent had any trouble with the magnet.
