MUTBAK Citadel - Passcase Bifold Leather Wallet with RFID/NFC Blocking

***Update after a year: This thing is still going strong, integrity of the wallet seems as good as the day I bought it! I paid more for this wallet than Ive paid for the last few Ive owned - mainly because those last few fell apart in less than a year and Id prefer not to have to replace so quickly. Even at that the cost does not break the bank. First impression I had of this MUTBAK wallet when I opened it was WOW - and thats just for the packaging. Shipping box on the outside, heavy duty manufacturers box on the inside - and the wallet all wrapped up in a cotton protective bag. I know some of you may be rolling your eyes about the gush over how it showed up but I think it goes back to the old saying about first impressions. Anyway looking at the wallet - it feels great, the leather feels slightly sueded and heavy, the stitching looks strong and tight and there is plenty of room to keep everything I carry with me - 9 slots for cards (and while I wont do it, I tested to see if a slot will hold 3 cards - it does - and without looking like its gonna split. 2 sections in the cash area - great for collecting those receipts you need to keep for expense reports without having to shove them in wherever. All that plus a see-thru slot for your id (plus insurance cards etc.) I wouldnt call it a slim wallet but it is normal sized and will only become bulky if you bulk it up with stuff. I havent had it that long so far but overall Im very happy with my purchase and look forward to having it around for a couple of years minimum - and Ill let you know if it doesnt work out that way. :) Note - the flap and slot for the ID is not removable - which works for me - I expected it to come out and that I would end up tossing it because in the past they would continuously fall out as I pulled out cash etc.

Ive been using this wallet for about a week now and I have to say that Im a big fan. I was looking for a more seriously constructed wallet to replace the licensed Mass Effect wallet Ive been using for years that finally was starting to wear out. All the ones at local department stores were more of the same, fake and cheap looking. I dis a search here and found this one with high ratings. I liked the design right off the bat and did some digging into the reviews and found what I was looking for, a really well constructed wallet. As for the style I choose, well, Ive lived in Memphis most of my life so naming a wallet after my hometown is a quick way for me to buy now. The packaging was stellar and this thing came protected. Its very stiff right out of the box but thats fine and honestly a welcome sign of a well made product. Thats why Ive waited a week or so to review, I wanted to give it a good break in period. I think this wallet will last me a long time and from the look and feel the leather will continue to soften and just get more and more personality as time goes on. Im looking forward to seeing what it looks like next year, in two years, and further on down. Im sure it will look a lot different but be almost a part of my butt by then hahaha. I have 9 cards including my Drivers License stacked inside and there is still room to go. Two big bill pockets and some extra storage space under the two main card slots round out the package. If you are looking for a well made wallet, look no further.

It was much better than I expected for the price. I think this is one of those great finds showing you dont have to pay crazy high prices to get an excellent product. Its very well made and certainly will last for a lot of years to come. Features I like about it are: its thin but sturdy, has two compartments for bills, has a windowed insert for my drivers license, has a lot of built in slots and doesnt need one of those cheap plastic inserts for credit cards. If you double the card slots you can easily fit 14 credit cards plus a drivers license. If you us the slots under the credit card inserts (I dont) you could get another 2 to 4 credit cards in there as well. I have 9 cards in the wallet plus my drivers license and its reasonable thin and looks nice. If I buy a wallet as a gift for someone Id definitely get another one of these Mutbak wallets for them.

I am so excited about this wallet! Im 60 years old and very old school ... meaning I remember how things used to last for many, many years because of quality materials and construction. My old leather wallet finally needed to be replaced after around 12 years so I started my research into the perfect wallet (for me at least) at a fair price. I came up with a good choice B and C, but until now I didnt have a choice A ... until I received my Mutbak wallet today ... success! Its one of those things that all you have to do is see it, hold it, rub it and smell it ... then you instantly know ... yep, this is it! It is full grain leather and definitely is an oiled leather style and feel ... so its gonna get even better with age, scratches, rubs and friction from daily use. Its a standard size bifold wallet (the only kind Ill ever use) that has plenty of room for at least 8+ cards, money, receipts and side areas for a few business cards or whatever floats your boat. If Im gonna be 100% honest, then I wish that the ID fold down portion could be removed, but it is NOT removable and the window is plastic. Im not a fan of plastic inside of my beautiful heavy duty quality leather wallet but it is not a deal breaker because everything else is pure perfection! The only thing that is unknown is how long it will last ... my guess is around the same time as my last one ... but we shall see. Finally, on a personal note ... I love the fact that this is a small business success story ... so that encourages me to do my part by helping them out. Give Mutbak a try ... even if its a weird name!

Poor quality....ordered on January 7, the return time expired February 7, and already on March 23rd it looks worn and a sleeve insert is torn. Bought it based on the good reviews so I was disappointed. I will have to throw it away after having to buy a replacement. Poor stitching and one of the sleeves ripped out. This wallet looks more worn and less attractive than my last wallet after 5 years of use which was a similar design and I believe the same number of insert sleeves. I insertednthe same number of cards as my old one too.
