Ive spent a few months with this wallet now and I cant imagine going back to anything else. This is much better quality than I expected for the price, the leather is great and the whole thing is well made. It also holds surprisingly more items than I would have expected while still being thinner than my old bi-fold wallet. The external easy-access card holder was another feature I was skeptical about, and this is now my favorite feature. This wallet also has so far not let my cards warp even though I frequently use it in my back pocket (and Im a bit hefty), that was another major concern when switching over but it has not been a problem with this SERMAN. Overall I am quite impressed with this wallet, using it as my daily carry and hope it holds up in the long term. ** UPDATE - I noticed a small flaw in the card pocket lining, sent a message with a photo to the Serman Brands support email and they replaced my wallet almost immediately!! (send them email Friday afternoon, had the replacement in-hand Monday). Serman Brands seems to be a great choice for a quality product with outstanding support.

I have only used this new wallet for a week. The caramel color was similar to the California Desert and was 30% cheaper, seems to be of very good quality. The pockets are as described and depicted, seem to hold the cards well. Overall it appears to be a little thinner with the same cards and cash that were in my four year old,quite worn but still functioning, Columbia front pocket wallet. Obviously this review is based on initial impressions. Time will tell how this wallet holds up and I will update my review in a year or so. There are some potential concerns. The clear plastic window ID will probably be as useless as it was on my previous wallets. The plastic tends to become increasingly cloudy and stretched; the friction between thumb and slippery ID card is usually less than the wallets grip on the card. Therefore its usually quite difficult to slide the card out with a thumb push in the small window. Its very difficult to do so on this brand new wallet. I would rather have a simple push out pocket similar to that on the opposite side. This is the first wallet I have used that has mostly vertical slots rather than horizontal slots. My experience with vertical slots, at least outside vertical slots, has been that they loosen up and allow cards to fall on the floor. The pockets on this wallet seem admirably snug, just right; I hope they stay that way. Some persons have expressed concerns about the pull out tab. There is no reason to pull the tab all the way out. Just pull it enough to raise the cards 3/8 of an inch or so where they can be easily grasped. Should the tab break, the wallet would still be functional. The cards can easily be extracted by squeezing the sides of the wallet to open it enough to simply reach in a quarter of an inch and pull the cards out. Try it! Another concern is the removable money clip. It feels secure now, but is easy to remove. There is some potential that this could loosen up a little too much in the future. This wallet will probable develop areas of darker hues with time, but that is to be expected with lighter colored leather subjected to use and wear. Overall I am exceptionally pleased with this wallet; its just what I wanted. Well see if that feeling continues.

My initial impression is this wallet has most of the features that I need. There are places for ID, frequently used cards and space for the cards that I only use once in a while. It will fit in my front pocket easily, but probably can be carried in just about any pocket. Its only a little thicker that my phone empty, so unless you carry the maximum number of cards (10 is the limit suggested by Serman) and tons of bills (not a problem I usually have) itll still be pretty sleek. Since there isnt an envelope-style bill slot you cant accumulate receipts, business cards, etc. You might slip a few business cards in a credit card slot, but they add a lot of bulk. So far all Ive done is transfer my stuff from my old wallet. After Ive carried it Ill update with in use impressions.

I got this and wallets from Distil Union and NapaWalli to compare. I liked the NapaWalli better which is the one that directly compares to this. The Distil Union wallet only had two pockets and was sufficiently different in design. This wallet looks like a beautiful piece of work. That said, for me I found the pockets not large enough (found the NapaWalli to easily store a few more items), I found the outside pocket to be hard to work (the one you push the card from the bottom) as compared to the NapaWalli, but that might be fixed by breaking the wallet in or having less items in it, and last I found I did not like the outside ID window. Frankly, my Drivers License has to be taken out for any real use, so easy access as opposed to a see-through window mattered more to me. On my NapaWalli, I dont keep it in the ID window, I keep it with my credit cards in the pull-tab pocket. My point is that I dont see the benefit of having an ID window on the outside. It simply limits what you would put in that pocket as it is very see-through. The NapWalli has a similar pocket but it is on the inside, where I think it better belongs. I actually just stick my building access card into the ID window in may NapaWalli as it is the least convenient pocket to access, which is fine for an access card (which never gets taken out). If you are fine with the window on the outside then the likely deal-breaker between this and the NapWalli (ignoring cost a a factor) is the number of cards you carry. It seems the NapaWalli is able to more comfortably handle more cards then this. So if less cards this is fine if more cards the NapaWalli might be better.

Ive used this style wallet since back surgery in 89 as recommended by my surgeon. This style has gotten harder and harder to find. I love the quality of this wallet .. very well made. Quality through and through. My only regret ... and this is a personal preference ... I wish I had ordered the darker one. But hey ... maybe my style needs a change. Love it ... definitely a 5
