Out of the box you can tell this is a quality item. Im 40 and have had many wallets, I have long searched for a wallet that was consolidated in size, but the same time not so small that it has limited function like a large money clip style wallet. This fits everything perfectly! Enough room for the average guy, a few debit or credit cards, license, insurance (health and auto) fits money well in the pocket. Great craftsmanship! The biggest plus is that I have searched for a wallet that held my debit and or credit cards like this were the pocket for them isnt set up like most wallets were the pocket is long horizontally, if you know what Im talking about those style of pockets usually break the card along the top lengthwise where the magnetic strip is. This eliminates that totally!

I have no idea how this wallet received so many 5 star reviews, its a terrible design throughout. There wasnt any problem with the stitching or leather, the fit and finish were great. For starters the tab you pull out, sticks out like a sore thumb, ironic for a wallet which touts itself as thin. I placed 2 credit cards and 2 membership cards in the 2 inside pockets and they barely fit (with the front pocket bulging out). The inside panel-front panel is shorter than the backside panel, so when you do place money in the pocket, the top of the bills stick out and makes the wallet look untidy and messy. I will say it was wrapped very well (Id say too well if its not for a gift, maybe save some money on the packaging and pass that savings down the pipeline to the customers?). The leather is superb and like I said, fit and finish were exact and solid. There were just too many design flaws for my liking.

First things first: this thing is thin. Seriously thin. Impressively thin. Violating the laws of the physical universe slim. (Okay, maybe not that last one.) I wish Id taken a picture to post here, but when I moved everything from my old bifold wallet to this one, it was about 60% as thick as the old one. Not filled, but empty. As in, this wallet fully loaded was just over half as thick as my old wallet completely empty. The first picture below shows the contents of my wallet as Im writing this; seven bills, ten cards (theres one behind my license I forgot to pull out) and a spare house key. Its only slightly thicker than a deck of cards (see picture). Im still having moments where I cant find my wallet, then realize its in my pocket and I just didnt realize it because its so much smaller than before. If I could take half a star off, I would probably do so, for two reasons. First is that I wish the wallet was about a quarter inch taller, just to have a cleaner look for the bill slot. As it is, when the bills are properly tucked in to the slot, just the tops are visible. But that takes time, and nine times out of ten, when youre stuffing bills into your wallet, its after getting change at a cash register somewhere and you dont want to stand there "properly tucking your bills". Just a quarter inch or so more would have been nice to make it a little easier to keep it neat. (Yes, this is a very nitpicky thing. Thats why its only part of why Id take off only half a star...) The other reason is for the packaging. Im all in favor of nice packaging, but there seemed to be a bit much here. As I recall, the wallet itself was wrapped in tissue paper, which was inside a plastic bag, inside a box which was inside a plastic bag which was inside a cloth bag. (The cloth bag may have been inside its own plastic bag--I cant remember for certain--but if it was, that was probably more Amazons doing than anything else. Also, I may not have the order correct on that, but ISTR there were six separate packages involved.) Its very nice you want it to be presentable, but the tissue paper and the box or the cloth bag would have been plenty. Other than that, though, this is a fantastic wallet. I was a little afraid about trusting my cards to a single card slot on the *outside* and what sounded like a gimmicky pull-tab slot, but the cards really do stay in place without any problems. And its not so tight as to make it impossible to get your cards out. Its really a damned fine wallet, and when this one wears out, Ill be back to buy another one.

Good quality and holds all that he needs. Just wish it was a little smaller, like maybe 1/4" all around, as he carries his wallet in his front pocket. I thought since this says "Travel" and "slim" it might be the size we were trying to find, but it is closer to a regular wallet. It fits all he needs and has a pull tab to help get cards out of the back slot which is helpful.

Update 8/25: Sherman Brands sent me a new wallet. The customer service was amazing. This wallet feels a little better. Ive been using it for 2 weeks now and its holding up great. The leather on this wallet feels less stiff and just a nice which I like. With some use its getting a little more slim, but compared to my last wallet is not as slim. To be honest Ive tried to buy 4 wallets online that all say slim and none have been as slim as Ive wanted. I think this wallet is something Ill be using for a long time. Original review: Serman Brands wallets were very highly rated, but I had the opposite experience. Pros: 1) The leather does appear to be very high quality. 2) The usage of outside pockets is a creative design Cons: 1) The drivers license card slot ripped on the side pocket after 8 days of usage and only the second time I took it out. 2) The wallet claims to be slim, and its not fat, but Id consider it average. I was looking for a lot slimmer and I only have 4 total cards in the wallet 3) The cash slot is about 2 mm to small, and the bills just barely stick out the top of the wallet making them crumpled 4) While I thought the slot with the pull tab would be great, it became awkward an always cause on my pocket. This is less of a con and more a personal preference.
