SERMAN BRANDS - Wallets for Men Slim Mens leather RFID Blocking Minimalist Card Front Pocket Bifold Travel Thin

I was looking for a slim, functional wallet that held more than 3 cards and came across some of the Serman Brands models with thousands of great reviews. Their quality, style, and functionality seemed perfect, but the only thing that kept me from buying was the metal clip inside for cash. Though Im sure the feature works fine, I didnt like the idea of having my cash exposed and held in place in the center by a clip when I open my wallet. Besides essentially opening a book with pages made of cash every time open my wallet (eye candy for thieves on the streets of NYC), I can just picture that If I dropped it and it landed the wrong way the bills could fly out all over the place. Likely not an everyday danger, but I personally prefer cash being tucked away in a more secure sleeve in my wallet. This new version was my perfect solution as its everything I wanted in the other wallets but it has two secure pockets inside for cash and a few items slightly larger than a credit card. This wallet still has the little pull tab as well, which works great, in my experience. Ive seen reviews where people say this pull tab design (on various wallets) malfunctions, rips, snags, but it appears to be a solid feature on this wallet thus far. Im using it for insurance cards and other items I dont use regularly, so I dont expect much wear and tear on the tab. Doesnt snag on my pants when pulling out of my pocket or anything like that. Not many reviews on this wallet yet but if you check out their site it looks like it was just released. If youre on the fence and like the pictures and features, just buy it, its $30 and well worth it. 1-year warranty as well, if Im wrong.

Very nice leather! The wallet seems very well crafted. The stitches are heavy duty and consistent. It looks even nicer in hand that it did in the pictures. I’ll see how well it stands up to daily carry and update my review accordingly, but so far, I’m very impressed. Update 24 Sep 2018: After carrying this wallet everyday for over a month, I have to update the review to severely downgrade my rating. While the leather is nice, the interior lining of the wallet is falling out making the pocket virtually unusable. The thin band is material that is meant to pull you credit card, or whatever you chose, put into the sliding pocket, is difficult to pull out with the material. Also, when putting your card back into the pocket, you have to be VERY careful or it will bind up and break your card. Great design, but exceptionally poor execution. If you’re looking for a good front pocket wallet, I have to say this isn’t the one. I’m back on the hunt again. I had such high hopes for this wallet after receiving it. I honestly wanted this to be my new wallet, but unfortunately, the workmanship is poor.

Update 3 months in: Serman contacted me and has offered a replacement because of my negative review/experience. I am currently using the new wallet and putting it through its paces. I appreciate the good customer support which is a definite plus, but I will need to see if the wallet survives prolonged use. Update a month and a half in: A lot of the stitching is coming apart. The quick draw pocket is broken because of the fabric coming undone. Even on the inside the material for holding the cards is coming undone so cards are slipping out of their places. I am already looking for a replacement wallet. I would not recommend this as a wallet for prolonged use. Original: I like the quick access pocket. Its useful for routinely accessed items like a hotel key or primary credit card. The ID pocket is a bit stiff which makes it a little annoying to pull the card out when needed, but thats minor. It also had a bit of an odor when it first arrived, but they aired out after a couple days. Overall I like it as it is relatively compact, more so than most advertised "slim wallets" but more robust than a basic card holder.

I was reluctant to buy this wallet because of the RFID protection. I did not want to have to take out my key card at work all the time. Luckily the RFID protection blocks out credit card frequencies but not key card frequencies, so I can store my work key card in the interior section and never have to take it out. The wallet somehow magically holds my 15 cards and cash (10 bills in the photo) and still remains thin. Not sure how they did this. The material is high quality ; feels really nice to hold. Only downside could be that the leather choice I made may not age well. I am only a few weeks in so jury is out on that one. In any case I am really happy with this purchase. You can tell they really put serious thought into the design of this wallet. I highly recommend.
