If you are use to buying American Apparel products- this is NOT the same. The quality is poor. My first hoodie purchase from this seller the zipper broke after three months. Second hoodie (why did i do it again?!) just arrived and there are loose threads and the quality is poor. I inspected my old AA hoodies (from the actual store) and these are absolutely not the same. Different tags and poor stitching. I suspect this one will also fall apart well before Ive worn it out. Lesson learned to only buy from AA directly. I thought saving money and shipping costs would work but not in this situation.

Excellent quality hoodie! I bought it in purple and it appears to be an authentic American Apparel hoodie. The inner fleece is very soft and so is the outer material. Ive had this hoodie for several months now and it still looks like new! Im a 51" gal, 110 pounds, and I like my hoodies to fit baggy and slouchy, so I bought the medium and it fits perfectly! I had bought the XS size before, but it was too tight in the torso. To extend the life of this jacket, Id recommend washing it - only when it really needs to be cleaned - on delicate cycle and then hang drying it.

This jacket is fantastic. I just received this a few minutes ago and I can say I found the perfect fall hoodie. Material: Its not too thin that you feel like youre only wearing a long sleeve shirt with a zipper on the front, and its not too thick that you feel like youre wearing something meant for winter only. The inside is an extremely soft material, and hopefully it holds up over time. Also the hood is double layered (2-ply), so its not thin like other hoodies and should keep you warm if you need it. Fit: I am a 59" guy, and only 145 lbs, so most jackets look like cloaks on me, but not this one! The cuffs are nice and tight which prevents them from being loose on my smaller wrists, and the sleeves dont have a ton of extra slack in them. Also when the jacket is zipped up, it is very form fitting (I guess in t-shirt terms Id place it somewhere between normal and slim fit). Color: Lastly, the color is nowhere near as assaultive as the picture on the listing shows. Its a really great shade of blue, but on a scale of 1 - 10 Id put the listing picture at a 9 in brightness, and in reality its more like a 5-6. I cant stress it enough, this is a really nice jacket, and totally worth the $33 I paid for it. If this thing ever goes on sale for $25 or less, you should hop on it in a heartbeat

I had previously purchased a Flex Fleece hoodie straight from American Apparel, in a size M—but it was so bit I promptly handed it over to my boyfriend, who is happy with his new, free hoodie. Im 5 3", and the size S fits ideally. It will probably shrink a bit in the wash, but I dont anticipate to shrink so much that I end up handing it over to a child. That said, I am please and have worn this almost every day since it arrived (YES straight from the bag—what I dont know wont hurt me in terms of clothes). The "truffle" color is more on the maroon end of the maroon end of the spectrum, though it definitely looked more brown to me for the first few hours, and under certain lighting.

If youve ever bought American Apparel in the past, then youll know their manufacturing quality has taken a steep downturn since then. Its a shame, I love their colors but when you put on and take off the jacket all of the lint from the inside will stay on you. Im not just talking about a few pieces of lint, you will be COVERED in red fuzzies on your shirt. Even now after Ive worn it at least 5 times, it still happens consistently. For how expensive this jacket is, we deserve better craftsmanship and materials. It is super soft though, so at least it has something still going for it, but damn what a waste of money.
