These new hoodies from “American Apparel” suck compared to the original ones. The hoods are huge now, floppy when down and when up they come to a ridiculous point like...well...like a stupid white hood if you catch my drift. Makes you look like an idiot. I ordered 4 of these things and all 4 have different zipper styles. “Some” came with the draw strings already tied in a knot as you’d do when washing. Once untied they remain curled up...no matter what. Never to return straight again. 2 of the hoodies have really long draw strings and the other 2 have shorter draw strings like the original American Apparel hoodies. The fabric feels the same as the old fabric to the touch but its definitely thinner. This really sucks as the original American Apparel hoodies were great. They fit your body well. These seem baggy and cheap. If you liked the old ones I don’t recommend these....at all. I don’t know what a better alternative is but I need to find one fast as fall is here.

When I ordered this I immediately regretted not getting a bigger size...BUT after trying it on Im glad I went with a large! Im a little over 200 lbs and curvy (38F) and this fits just right! A little snug in the chest but thats ok. If youre similar dimensions and would like a looser fit, definitely go up to an XL. I was amazed when I looked at the tag and saw made in USA. I was convinced that with the price itd be one of the ones made overseas. The quality is what I remember from the brand, and its a shame other reviewers seem to have landed with an inferior product. Its just as soft and lush inside as I remember! Ill probably even order another I love it so much! Still cheaper than the American apparel website, yay!

This product was represented accurately and exactly matches the American Apparel items Ive purchased at an actual brick and mortar American Apparel store. The fit is somewhat small *as is all American Apparel clothing* so if youre used to this brand, you know what to expect. If youve never purchased anything from AA, I would say that compared to mainstream stores like Kohls, the fit is accurate but expect a sllimmer, hugging fit. The quality is awesome. Im wearing it now. Mmmm I love it! This is my third one of this exact same style. My previous one is about 4 years old and starting to show some wear, hence the repeat purchase.

I have really long arms. I always have to order 34"-35" sleeve length. Despite what the size chart says, shirts often dont come with that sleeve length. Along with this sweatshirt, I ordered 13 others from various Amazon vendors. Of those 13, I had to return 9 of them for being too small, for having too short of sleeves. This one came with the longest arms of all, maybe 36" length sleeves. Im wearing it right now in fact. I absolutely LOVE it. I know itll shrink a bit when I wash it, but it has enough length that that wont matter. Also, Im relatively thin but buy XL for sleeve length, and this isnt too baggy. It fits like what in America is generally a large tall (LT). I was a little worried, this coming from the UK, but Im so, so, so, so happy. Plus, I have a British sweatshirt. Ooh la la! Or should I say "Brilliant!" Anyway, nothing about this sweatshirt disappoints, and of all the sweatshirts I bought, it was the second cheapest. Ill be buying more of these. If you want a light-weight hoodie thats actually the size they say it is, then go with this seller. I am beyond happy.

If you are use to buying American Apparel products- this is NOT the same. The quality is poor. My first hoodie purchase from this seller the zipper broke after three months. Second hoodie (why did i do it again?!) just arrived and there are loose threads and the quality is poor. I inspected my old AA hoodies (from the actual store) and these are absolutely not the same. Different tags and poor stitching. I suspect this one will also fall apart well before Ive worn it out. Lesson learned to only buy from AA directly. I thought saving money and shipping costs would work but not in this situation.
