This is a very comfortable and good looking top. The fleece is really soft. The fit is good, and may run a bit large if anything. The item says you can put it in the dryer. Ive not laundered it yet. There is no waist draw string. The cut isnt obnoxiously full in the body, like some items. Its relatively well trimmed, but not to the point of being fitted or an athletic cut. Youll pay for "the name," but thats part of the game...

I bought this in October, from the sizing chart the medium seemed like it would be a good fit for me. 510 175lbs It was a perfect fit, I wore it for about a month and a half on and off, it was washed 3 times without a problem. On the fourth wash it shrunk, a lot, the sleeves were basically 3 inches past my elbow, the bottom was around my belly button. I guess this is going to my 6 year old nephew in a few years, it will be a perfect fit for a 9 year old now. I ended up getting a new one, in large, its a little big on me but at least when/if it shrinks it might be back to that perfect size again.

I purchased this as a replacement to the one that I wear nearly daily during the wintertime in eastern, NC. My older one has been washed and worn hundreds of times. The sleeve elbows only now are starting to show evidence of age. I don’t remember what year I purchased it, but it’s many years old, and the material still looks better than this new one. The new pile has to be a savings in production costs. I’m sure TNF knows the difference. Everybody has to make a big bag with 9 chips in it these days I guess.

Im not sure what everyone else is receiving, but I purchased a 3X in black for my husband and it is exactly as I would expect from North Face. Have washed it already and its still like new. The fleece is thinner than some of their thicker ones, but this is perfect for him as we are not in a very cold climate.
