This is basically about overall quality. Over the years I have watched the quality decline in every aspect. Inconsistent workmanship. One used to be able to count on one pair of jeans being the same as previous pairs. Not the case anymore. In my last three orders of multiple pairs of 501s, items in the same order were inconsistent. The fabric gets thinner every year. Right rear pocket attachment point develops a hole over a short period of time. I do not carry anything in that pocket. A pair of Levis would last years. Six months is considered amazing with todays product. These are made in more countries that I can begin to count with some of the worst quality control and workmanship that I could document using ISO9000 standards. Bottom line. Overpriced junk. This is the last time I will deal with this company who was based on quality in the past but has lost their commitment to the primary factor that made them great. Time to try Wrangler once again next go around. Ordered them in the past and went back to Levis after the thinner material seemed cheap. This latest Levi order makes Wrangler look more attractive with the latest, additional decline, in Levi quality.

All I can say is wow! I have been wearing Levis jeans 97% of the time for the last 29 years! Never have my jeans felt so thin. I pulled out my 2 previous pairs of 501s and they are thicker and better quality than this one. I will have to wear them and see what happens, but i dont think these are very durable. This Jean seems like it will rip easily and not last very long. Im also concerned because I keep my smartphone in my front pocket. My last good quality pair lasted over 3 years before I got a hole in the pocket. These jeans will keep you cooler in the summer, but it will do the same in the winter unfortunately. This is not worth the $50 they are going for, but time will tell. Levis, once a great product doesnt seem so anymore! I may have to reluctantly find a new brand of jeans.

Ordered exactly the same jeans as I did 4 months ago, same size and color, and from the same vendor. The previous order was exactly as I expected, and fit perfectly. Still do. I expected exactly the same jeans in this most recent order, but got something that is tighter, shorter, in lighter fabric, and with a "striated" appearance in the fabric. They seem like cheap, counterfeit knock-offs of the original. How does that happen when you hit the "order these again" button on your Amazon account? Is quality control dead at Levis, or maybe these are not even real Levis?

Sometime ago, Levis were made a lot sturdier and from a heavier denim. They moved mfg of the jeans overseas and the jeans went downhill pretty steep, but seemed to be okay and tough enough for a light work jean. I think Levi has changed this jeans construction once again, because the latest order of these jeans barely lasted me a few months. Levis used to last for years, but now they are complete garbage. These jeans used to be about the same thickness as a regular pair of chinos, but now they are much thinner, Id say 50% as thick as kahki chinos. They still look good and have the same Levi fit, but the quality is more like a flimsy designer jean than the work pant that made these jeans famous. The funny thing is they feel like a knock-off imposter of the real thing, but sadly, theyre the real thing. This is what happens to big companies when they cut costs to satisfy a quarterly profit at the expense of their brand integrity. After 30 years of wearing levis, you have lost a customer. Makes me sad af.

Ive worn these all my life, almost 70 years, but the quality has dropped a lot over the years even more so lately and of course the price went up, $10 more than my last pair cost here. Levi is spinning in is grave at the shameful quality of these, For years, decades, several generations, a new pair had to be broke in, you beat them with sticks and rocks dragged them through mud puddles, just to loose up the fibers so the legs would even bend at the knees These are like tissue paper in comparison. And last about as long if you still work hard for your living, But now that industrial hemp is again allowed to be grown the Original Version could be brought back. But if they do Mark My Words the price will more than double, not because they will cost more to make Because they will last 5 times or more longer. Until then we are getting ripped off with an inferior over priced product. And made in China, or anywhere but the USA, is a real huge insult to Levi Strauss and the American Worker Levi made them for. So Sad
