Once upon a time Haggar made awesome pants. I know because I owned a couple pairs of their pants and they survived over 10 years of regular use. But alas, all pants eventually die, so I decided to replace the last surviving pair... with a new pair! Well, two of them actually. So I order them, they arrived a few days later, & I tried them on. The pants fit pretty well for the most part. They were a touch snug in the mid thighs, but not enough to be concerning. The pockets were sufficient, the hem was maybe 1/2" longer than I like, the color was good, and the waist was perfect. I decided they were keepers. As a very tall (6-3") 200 pound avid cyclist, I find that most pants are either a touch snug in the thighs or too short by about 47 feet, or the size of a circus tent. Shopping in a brick & mortar store for pants is basically impossible. All the regular places are too short and all the "big and tall" stores are just that: big AND tall. Apparently they dont think that tall & a skinny waist go together. So, if the pants seem so great, why the 1-star rating? Two words: zero quality. I ordered two pairs of 34" x 36" pants two and a half months ago and the second pair just died. Yes, both pairs are now trash worthy. I work an office job that is pretty sedentary, but every once in a while I have to do weird things, like squat down under a desk & plug in a LAN cable... which killed the first pair a week ago. I squatted down, heard/felt a rip, then looked down to discover a 9" hole had magically appeared across the bottom from the mid-seam out across the seat. Were not talking the seam pulled out; thats fixable. Were talking the entire right cheek was breezy. Fast forward to today and I squared down to lift a 25 pound file box and BAM! two inch rip in the exact same place. I totally understand that clothes wear out. And I understand that businesses have to complete in a global economy that is highly competitive... but seriously. I buy two pairs of pants and they BOTH die in less than three months?! Yeah, thats just not acceptable in my book. My recommendation: buy these if you need a pair of pants for a wedding or some one-off event with zero physical labor involved. Avoid these like the plague if you need something for everyday work-wear.

So I had originally wrote a review for these a couple months ago. Im writing this now as a warning. I had bought a pair of these around the holidays 2016. I still have that pair, amazing slack/jeans. Last month loved the original so much, decided to buy another pair. Accidentally ripped the new pair. Didnt think anything of it, because I was bending awkwardly. So just bought this new pair, they just ripped sitting down. Same rip, same area. Also kinda of funny cause lost around 10lbs since the holidays and the original pair I can do squats in them if I so please and they are fine. So to end this was an amazing product, but the newer line is very easy to rip. Also because they are a stretch material you cant sew them effectively unless have a machine to do so.

The Haggar Mens Premium No Iron Straight Fit Pants fit fairly well, they are also very comfortable to wear and look great. The material is a little too thin, more like a pair of chinos and not a pair of Khakis, which are heavier weight. However, there is one huge problem with these Haggar Khakis, they are way too long. I am 61" and wear a size 34X34. These khakis fit more like a 34X35. I think they must have been mislabeled because they are way too long for me. I have washed them twice already they have not shrunk in length at all. I hope after several more piles of washing they will shrink to fit. Or, I will have to have them tailored at a later date in the future. In addition, the Amazon customer service team seriously messed up my order. These Haggar khakis are not even made of the right material, I have two pairs of Haggar chinos that are made of almost the same material and they look and feel like cotton. The Haggar khakis are made of a 61% cotton blend and the look and feel like microfiber or polyester, they also have a shine like microfiber or polyester. Khakis that are mostly cotton would not have a shine at all, and they would not feel like some type of other material. Something is seriously wrong with Amazon, not only did they get the length wrong, they also got the material wrong as well. It seems like these khakis might be rejects, I can not imagine any vendor or seller even trying to sell anything like these khakis, which are clearly mislabeled.

I needed pants for work. I usually go to the Haggar store locally to buy them, but I thought Id try Amazon this time. I buy 2 pair and wear them every week. Typically I have to replace them once a year because, again, I wear them all the time. These are really good pants. They look good and fit good as long as you know what size you are. They are flexible and lightweight, but dont expect to spend a lot of time outside in cold weather without long underwear underneath. Beyond that, theres not a whole lot to say. If you need some pants, get some pants. Update 1/2018: These pants did not even last 1 year. Im very disappointed. I do wear these to work everyday and wash them weekly, so I get that maybe Im rougher on them than many people might be, but to have them degrade and rip in the crotch area in less than a year is real bad. Ive purchased these from the Haggar store before and they lasted at least a full year with the same use. Maybe Haggars QA has gone downhill? I dont know, but I have found other pants that I love. I am unlikely to buy these again.

Keeping this very short. The pants are nice, they fit right and I like them a lot. They have enough room to keep from being uncomfortable but still maintain the look you want in a good pair of pants. the lack of five stars stems from these two items: 1. No Iron is kinda not so much true...I still have to iron them. I will admit I may be doing something incorrect, but so far they come out of the wash and pay a visit to the ironing board. 2. I was expecting the expandable waist, that they are not. The wait does stretch, but not like what I had expected. if either of the above were not present, these would be five star in my opinion.
