Ordered Large according to my measurement, 42". Fit very sloppy and large for a "slim" fit. Even my wife, who couldnt care less about this sort of thing, said, thats too big. And the quality was poor, thin, nearly sheer. Disappointing considering its from CL. I have on a Polo RL shirt, same thing, slim fit Large and it is exactly what I expected. Soft, quality proper slim fit.

In my experience, Calvin Klein makes the best affordable t-shirts and underwear to wear for sleep or as undergarments. There is a nice weight to the garments and they launder well provided you follow their recommended instructions. The fit and finish along with sale pricing make them a 5-star product. I personally they are worth the upcharge versus Jockey, Hanes, etc. especially when there is a gold box deal. I havent yet tried some of the newer niche products like MeUndies or ExOfficio but they ring in at a higher price point so I wouldnt be cross shop these brands. All that being said, I took off a star for the ridiculously over the top packaging. Their recent packaging includes a cardboard insert for each shirt, then they are folded and taped, and then all placed in a clear boxy bag finished with a zipper. A zipper, really? There was a huge pile of waste and only the cardboard was recyclable. I understand the need for a nice presentation but its underwear and t-shirts. #endrant

Ive ordered both the black tees and the white tees, and notice a difference in the feel after several washings. The black tees were made in Thailand, and retain a soft, stretchy feel, while the white tees, made in Bangladesh, noticeably lose thesee features after a few washings; the white tees subsequently dont feel any different than other brands. Not clear whether this is a sourcing issue, or if there is something different in the manufacture of the black tees. A feature I like in both, however is that they are both longer in the torso and thus less susceptible to coming untucked.

These shirts feel very comfortable and the material is good quality but I believe they run on the larger side. Normally Im a size large but fortunately I read the other reviews and went with the Medium. Im 6 180 lbs and the medium fits me perfect. If I had went with the Large I think it would have been too baggy and not fit as well. Overall, Im happy with the purchase.

Calvin Klein t shirts are so frustrating, because they are so close to being perfect that the fact that they arent almost makes me hate them. And, yet, I cant because theyre 90% exactly what Im looking for in an undershirt. The Large size has the perfect sleeve length and, out of the box (or the weird bag shirt packs come in), is the exact size I like a shirt to be. Its a shame you have to wash them... Once they shrink, theyre just a little smaller than Id like. Ill get a year or so of wear out of this three pack, which still makes it a good value, but I just wish they fit perfectly, because... I also have a 3 pack of the white and the sleeves are too long and, even after washing, theyre just too big. I guess it could be my bodys fault, but I feel like 510" 180 pounds is a pretty average body size. The dumbest thing is, Im probably just going to keep buying these shirts, because they really are exactly what I want at a good price, outside of the sizing issue.
