Fruit of Loom Men's A-Shirt Multipack

I should have read the one star reviews before I ordered. These tank tops might be okay, if you are young and muscular, and want a very tight fitting tank top to show off your muscular physique. But I am old and flabby, and Id prefer that no one noticed. Also, with the thin ribbed material, they are just colored undershirts. But I wanted something just a little fancier, with a softer, thicker material, so I could wear them everywhere, without looking like I was running around in my underwear. Anyway, it says "2XL 50-52 IN" on the package. And my chest measures just 49 inches. But these shirts are too tight around my chest, as well as everywhere else.

I trusted this brand for a lifetime, but no longer. Shirts are not soft, and dye still bleeding heavily after 3 washings. The fabric is scratchy, despite mfgr. claim to be soft. I thought once the sizing was washed out they would soften up, but they actually get worse in this respect. The bleed problem is probably due to inadequate water temp. when dyeing, as dye never "fixed" to the cotton. The scratchy texture I would attribute to poor quality control. Inferior materials are probably not rejected from the production line. Simply put, some people get lucky, others do not. I will never buy Fruit Of The Loom products again.

I wear a XXL shirt or t-shirt in general as I like a loose fit. I had to get a XXX-L to get an A-Shirt that was still snug feeling. I do understand these types of shirts should cling to the body. However, when you buy an A-Shirt this large, the length is really long. This is not exclusive to FOTL, but also to Hanes as well as generic brands that I have personally tried. Also, these FOTL do not feel as soft as the Hanes or even the BJs brand that I have had in the past. All this being said, whatever size t-shirt you wear, you need to go 2 sizes larger it seems depending how snug or loose you want them.

I thought Id be recieving what is shown in the photo and picked this specifically for the soft tones shown in the examples. The shirts that arrived were bright blue(ugly), bright red, maroon red and grey(last two were okay). Half of this was such a fail I had to find as new gift instead as he will not wear these super bright colors. Apparently these come in assorted colors so its the luck of the draw. I lost. They should make this more known.

Although the material seems to be all right, these shirts are very undersized. I got XXXL thinking they would fit a little loose. Nope! They fit me like a Medium size! I think even if I had bought XXXXL they would have still been too small! Also, that fabric smells funny right out of the package. I washed them and since they are 100% cotton they shrank! So, right into the Goodwill basket! There is a general trend in apparel of poor quality! Its buyer beware! Go look at stuff in stores to get a better idea of fit and quality.
