ASICS Men's GT-1000 7 Running Shoes

I ordered the size I always buy/wear in ASICS brand (Gel-Foundation) running shoes. This model I orfered just for everyday wear (GT-1000 7) and it was definitely sized different. They were pretty snug so I sent them back and got a half size larger. Amazon returns are easy, no muss, no fuss, no hassle. Update: changing this from 3 to 4 stars. 5 stars for Amazon service. 3 stars for ASICS sizing consistency. I exchanged them for a half size larger than original and while they do fit, honestly if I was going to run in these I would send them back again and get a full size larger than what I usually wear in ASICS.

Update Day 1: I wore these to work on my 8 hour shift. Im not going to say there was absolutely no pain, but it was significantly dulled throughout the day. And walking there was actually zero pain. ZERO! The stability of these shoes are really great, you can really feel the sturdiness of the shoe. I cant believe these were 60 bucks. This is my first time buying a stability shoe. I usually just went for whatever looked nice. Ive only had it for a day but so far Im liking it, the quality is definitely there and its a very snug shoe, which is a good thing. Its very stiff and rigid too, which I assume helps guide you feet. I think Im going to update as I use these, to really give everyone an idea of how these really work.

PROS: Lightweight - Responsive - Cool color way - Good price point CONS: Narrow toe-box - Stiff outsole - Lacks arch support - Lacks cushioning - Outdated materials VERDICT: I currently rotate between these and the Hoka Arahi 3. I mainly wear the Asics to the gym and for shorter 30min-1hr runs with fast finishes. Lightweight and responsive, pick up speed fairly quickly. However, the toe-box is extremely narrow and when combined with the lack in cushioning will cause blisters. I will pony up and get an extra pair of the Hoka and only wear the Asics to the gym.

I have purchased Asics for years and years. I really love the fit. I notice an instant difference in comfort when I put on a new pair of shoes. But, just a few days after purchase, I have already worn through the cloth part where the Achilles area hits the shoe... I went for a walk this afternoon and noticed the rubbing...By the time I got back to my office, I had a popped blister. I just got these shoes in the mail a couple of weeks back. Unbelievable. I am so disappointed. I dont have this problem with other shoes otherwise Id assume that I was doing incorrectly while walking.. Its the perfect shoe if you like plastic cutting into the back of your ankle.

Great running shoe. Light and with great cushion. Really good deal in terms of quality/price. It did quite a difference versus my previous running shoe (as well ASICS but much heavier and with less cushion) as I improved my time by 30s/mile on my usual 8 miles run.
