New Balance Men's 990v4

These are the worst pair of new balances I have owned. My $60 pair 570s are 100% more comfortable. I thought $160 for shoes, they should be nice considering they are USA New Balance, Right???? But no I have bought $30 Sorbothane Shoe insoles and they still hurt my feet. I have had them for one month and they havent broken in at all. Im 61 and 240 lbs. Not sure WTF New Balance is doing but I guess they are giving up on quality. Crappy Shoes and Broken Quality and Wasted Money.

These shoes run noticeably large and regrettably are not the most comfortable to wear. While they appear well made, they lack in cushioning and the structural aspect just feels off. I have been running in Mizuno (Wave Enigma), Saucony (Omni) and Asics Kayano over the past several years, and while the Asics (Kayano) has gone a bit "soft" over the years, I find them all superior to the 990 in both comfort and tech. Again, the 990 is a solid shoe, but something about it just feels off. I wear a 12 1/2 and the Mizuno Wave Enigma and Saucony Omni 13 & 14 fit like a glove. I am swimming in the NB 990 and the internal structural components feel misplaced and off. The shoe also looks feels heavier. Kind of clunky actually. I realize that shoes are like mattresses and viewed subjectively, but I remember this shoe differently, better fitting with more cushioning and better overall comfort. Oh well. to each his own I guess. Good luck!

I love these (NB-M990V4), The wider width is ideal in creating a comfortable wearing running shoe. Admittedly, Im not a big runner, but Im not so old that I dont do some running and walking to stay in decent shape. For me the fit is true to size. I love the fact that these are made in America and perhaps some U.S. worker is benefitting from my purchase.

Best shoe out there. My podiatrist recommended this specific model because of my plantar fasciitus. Since wearing this model of shoe (with my custom made insoles) I have had NO issues with it. I highly recommend this shoe.

I received a pair of counterfeit shoes. They are uncomfortable. The sole has begun to separate. The internal plastic has cracked and makes noise. This is after 2 weeks of ownership.
