Look good in pics and in the box, but theres so much extra material on the uppers that has no where to go when tightening laces. Due to the one piece design and lack of a proper tongue, the upper pinches into a huge bulge when tightened.

I dont agree with a lot of these reviews just because theyre plain ignorant. These shoes are meant to be racing shoes and they perform extraordinary in that respect. Being a racing shoe, that means theyre ultra light to maximize your run speed on paved/stable/flat surfaces, but that also means they wear down between 100 - 200 miles versus the 300 - 500 miles for a daily runner shoe, e.g., Brooks Launch 5. If you use these shoes for what theyre intended for, theyre great, but thats pretty much it besides wear around shoes once theyre burnt out. I ran a 13:58 two-mile with these bad boys and my current numbers for the Big 3 are a 225# bench, 315# squat and 385# deadlift. Pretty solid shoes that I will be buying again and only using for races.

Honestly, these feel more like slippers than shoes. The fabric is mesh and very stretchy. You can see all of your toes stretch through the fabric when you move around. The sole is also a little on the spongy side, probably for comfort. These are labeled as "running shoes" which is a dangerous statement. Because of the stretchiness, your feet slide around a little too much under general walking. I would never attempt to run in these things! There is simply no stabilization. I ordered a 10.5 4E and feel they are true to size. I have always appreciated how NB offers wide sizes. The insole is removable and I replaced mine with something that offered more arch support. Because of the material, I do not see these lasting as long as I would like, even if I am not running in them. I bought these because I needed something that was white and would go well with a pair of jeans or shorts with "no show" socks. They do the job, but at 65 bucks, better deals can be had.

UPDATE: I lowered my initial rating of 5 stars to 3 stars. The fit is still very good for people with wide feet, but once these shoes got dirty, they were impossible to clean. I tried soaking them in water & laundry detergent, scrubbing by hand, those shoe cleaning kits, and a last ditch effort of just throwing them into the washing machine. Nothing worked. If you want shoes that are low maintenance and will stay reasonably white, these are NOT those shoes. -- I have feet that are very wide towards the front, I know the struggle of finding good looking shoes that fit. New Balance is one of the few shoe makers that have products for people with wide feet like me, but even within their shoe models, the sizing can be inconsistent. I can say that these fit my 4E feet well, and would recommend them. Here are my critiques: - The outsole/insole, or bottom of the shoe, seems only slightly wider than normal width. The sides of my feet stick over sides a bit, but its enough support for walking. I would not run long distances in this shoe. - The mesh upper is very, very stretchy. This makes it very comfortable to wear the shoe, as it stretches to match the width of my foot. These have more stretch than my Nike Flyknit and Adidas Ultraboost uncaged, so they are more comfortable. - My feet move left and right a bit in the shoe. Because the top material is so stretchy, it does not provide much side support. Fine for walking, but not for high intensity activities. - The shoe is super light, and very airy. - It is the best looking white-color casual shoe that I have found so far. I dont know why a good looking pair of white shoes for wide feet are so hard to find. These shoes make your feet look very sleek. If youre looking for a good looking, casual, walking shoe for really wide feet, this is it.

Fitz as expected. True to my normal size 11. Very lite shoe and you can see movement of your toes through top of shoe. The insole is light and not very supportive but no worse then any other major shoe brand. Early slip on and off , there is a small amount of bunching when lacing tighter due to the tinge being attached completely to the sides of the shoe.
