The design or material of the synthetic rubber sole on the Bushacre 2s vs. the Original Desert Boots causes a squeak with every step, every time I walk. Ive been wearing these boots at work everyday for months in the hopes of wearing the squeak out but it seems permanent at this point. These are the worst boots Ive ever owned. Stick with the Original Desert Boot. The more durable synthetic sole on these is nice but nothing is worth this squeak. Id give these a negative rating if I could. Money wasted.Found numerous forums of Bushacre 2 owners having the same problems.

These are a great chukka boot at a very good price! I have a hard time ordering Clarks - for some reason their sizing seems to be off. I wear a 11 4E dress shoe, and if I cant get an extra wide shoe, I typically go up to 12 or 12.5. Clarks tend to run a bit wider than your typical shoe so I first ordered a 11.5 D width (these dont come in width widths). The 11.5 was too tight in the toe box (width was actually fine). When I finally got the 12 D it fit like a glove! The color is great. These do take some time to break in. I first wore them, and developed a blister on my heel, so I got some inexpensive no-slip heel pads and that solved the problem until I could wear them enough to break in. Once I wore them 5-6 times all day, they finally broke in and are very comfortable now. Update: I had to change my review - I’ve been wearing these for about 5 months and they really haven’t gotten much better. They’re fine for a couple of hours but as an all day shoe to wear if you have a lot of walking to do, they hurt after a while and just haven’t broken in like I’d hoped.

I wanted to like these as I have had some in the past. However these particular ones must be made differently. First, they showed up in a bag, not a box- and unsurprisingly, they came with odd scuffs all over. Visible marks and wear are unacceptable for brand new shoes IMO. Second, even after sizing a whole size down- these are still too big! Lastly, after lacing and walking a few steps in them the creasing was odd, and not in usual places. The leather is far lower quality than my old Clarks desert boots. I am returning these, even for the price- I dont even care to wear them at all.

I have owned a few pairs of Clark’s Originals Desert Boots but this was first time buying the Bushacre 2 Chukka boots. I just purchased new Desert Boots in Beeswax but saw the Bushacre 2 Chukka’s were on sale so figured I would try them out for that low of a price. The only difference in appearance between them was the classic crepe sole on the Desert Boot & a rubber sole on the Bushacre. Right out of the box, the Desert Boots were far more comfortable & the quality was noticeably better than the Bushacre...but that should be expected with the higher price. I had to put more comfortable insoles in the Bushacre’s so my feet didn’t hurt as much wearing them, were as I didn’t with the Desert Boots. (that may just be me though) I may change rating later, as it looks like the rubber sole started separating slightly from the Bushacre boot after just a few times wearing them. My opinion... if you want a boot that will last for a long time , the Desert Boot is definitely worth the higher price. I posted pics of the 2, side by side, in the last 2 pictures.

Quite possibly the most uncomfortable shoes Ive ever worn, and as a 52-year old Army veteran thats saying something! Ive been a size 10 since I was a teenager and these "size 10s" fit more like a 9. In addition, there is absolutely no support built in at all and the sole feels like concrete. I wore them for a few days thinking they would break in but no dice. Going to see if I can return them otherwise they are going straight to Goodwill. Dont waste your money!
