Great shoes! I love doc martens and these were a great price and seem to be original. After reading some of the comments I was skeptical about purchasing them but I dont regret it. They fit as expected and look great, the boots even came with the yellow laces and original box. I havent worn them out yet but im sure the boots will hold up well. I do own other pairs of Dr.Martens but this would be the first time I buy them from amazon and I am very impressed.

"They dont make them like they used to", this is certainly true for Dr. Martens. I bought my first pair of Docs second-hand from a thrift store thirty years ago and wore them for years afterwards. I received my latest pair last night and Im returning them today. Walking to work today I thought I had a pebble in my boot. I got to my office, took off the boot and discovered it was an eyelet grommet that had fallen off. A closer look reviewed that they were all coming loose. Ive worn them less than three hours, absolutely unacceptable. Ive noticed the steady decline of the brand for years but this is the worst. I guess this is what happens when you globalize and chase profits. Theyve outsourced to Asia where cheap materials and slave labor are used. Where once they were made by British craftsmen who took pride in their work and product they are now made from inferior materials by people who need to produce as many as quickly as possible in order to stave off starvation. Absolutely terrible and sad. I will spend more and get a pair of Gripfast. You get what you pay for.

First off, I wear a 10 and a half in sneakers. The size 10 Docs in the classic 1460 style fit me perfectly with enough room for thick woolen socks. If you are wanting to put inserts in them and are the same fit as I am, I suggest going a size up. Ive worn various Docs for twenty years, but this is the first pair of 1460s Ive bought since the early 90s. I honestly dont know why I waited so long, I guess I just forgot how much I loved them. To those of you new to boots of these type, youll need a few days to wear them in and get them molded to your feet. After the break in period, they become very comfortable, and they look iconic. As a footnote, I got fitted for the nylon Docs as well (Ill be buying a pair shortly) and I had to go up a size to 11. I guess the nylons run a bit small.

Its always hard finding reviews from big guys- so hopefully I can help a big brother in need. I wear a size 14 Wide, but I took a gamble and ordered the regular 14, since that is all that was available. They fit great, I actually need to tie them pretty tight so they fit well. I have a little bit of room in the toe, which I will never complain about and the width is more than enough room. In a standard shoe I wear a 4E width, so these boots are definitely wide enough. I saw some reviews saying they take forever to break in, but they were comfortable the first time I put them on. The only thing I need to figure out is how tight to lace them at the very top since I have big legs. These boots are BIG MAN CERTIFIED!

I dont know if its the outer coating on the shell or the aggressive stitching on the bridge of the upper, but these absolutely kill my feet. Im stubbornly trying to break them in, and thats not normal for Docs. They are stiff as a corpse in rigor mortis and serve as a constant reminder that beauty is not without pain. The positive point is that even though they pinch like an auntie at a family reunion, they dont leave any blisters behind. Im not giving up, though--Im going to break these in or else. They look too good to give up so easily.
