I did my research. I knew that breaking these dudes in was going to be a world of pain. I bought thick wool socks and bandaids, and when they arrived I immediately got to it. Make no mistake friends, acquainting your feet to these hurts so much. I only wore them to my short shifts (Im a barista, Im on my feet a bunch). My dogs were barking like mad by the time I got home, and it seemed like every time I put them on I got a new blister. But after four total shifts (maybe 16-20 hours overall of wear), it happened. I could wear them and not only would my feet not be screaming balls of excruciating blisters and pus, my feet didnt even ache! I have fragile little baby feet that typically require insoles with incredible arch support, and I even bought some boot insoles in preparation. But honestly, I didnt even need them. Its been over a month since I broke these boots in, but I got to say that it was worth it. These Docs are so comfortable that I forget Im even wearing them sometimes. Plus theyre pretty slip-resistant and they dont track, which is notable in my line of work. These are my new favorite boots and Im hoping they last me a nice long while, because Im in no hurry to break in a new pair!

Such a good quality! I was waiting for a month because im russian, so, dear seller, sorry for my delay with a feedback! Now about boots: Amazing! Ive had a bad, bad experience with a Martens, my last pare of boots (was bought in Russia) was a fake. So i have been using them for a 2 years (not bad). But now i can see a total difference. Different package, different leather, different smell! Leather is really quality. I can see a water repellent on leather, good shoelaces, good flexible sole with not too hard rubber. Its important, ive seen a check (control) sticker. So, i used them for 4 days (And in Russia now a REALLY BAD weather, guys) and im absolutely happy. I needed a not too much - pare of fine boots and i got it. If you have any doubts - stop it :) Take it and dont be afraid! Delievery to a pick-up-point was very fast and safety too.The. ive had to wait a month for a delievery to Russia but it was another company specialized in delievery to Russia. And i forgot! Size chart was accurate, it fits so good. Thank you, seller! (And for all who read it: Sorry for my bad english ^^)

I bought these for a costume party next month and they are the perfect shoe for the the look I’m going for however I’ll probably list them on eBay afterward and sell them. I recall Dr. Martens being of better quality. This pair of shoes feels very stiff and cheap, like some China knockoff. The owner of the store that these shoes came from sent me an email saying that “he saw that I received the shoes and that he’s a retired veteran supporting his family with this online store and would I post a 5 star review.” This is the second time I’ve received a request like this from two different vendors. The emails are almost identical. Unless it’s a meal, there is no way I can tell the quality of the product by just removing it from the box. The only reason I can with these boots is because when I lived in Seattle 1991-98 where the shoe to wear was Dr Martens I went through two pairs and the leather was of higher quality. We have gotten to a strange place in America where people rely on reviews where people aren’t even actually using the product but rather looking and reviewing. Most products need at least a month of use before a consumer can acurratley rate a product. So that’s my 2 cents

I am writing this review to dispel all the inaccurate information on here about Dr. Martens boot sizes. These boot run BIG. I am a regular, human adult male that has worn size 12 (US) shoes for twenty years. If any other shoe manufacturer that is being accurate stamps "Size 12" on its shoes, I know they are going to fit me every day of the week. Dr. Martens 1460 boots, on the other hand, will be way too large if I get size 12(US). I ordered size 11(US)/10(UK), and they fit perfectly. I own three pairs of Dr. Martens 1460 boots, all size 11(US) and they all fit me exactly the same (perfectly). All my other shoes and boots are size 12(US). Said simply, order one US size down from your regular size and you are going to get something your feet will thank you for. Also, just ignore the UK sizing so you dont get confused (or, always remember that the UK size is going to be a number less than the US size on the same boot). I received a made in China pair of boots. Despite the Chinese manufacturing, there is absolutely nothing wrong with these. They fit and feel great and are free of any blemishes or defects. I look forward to rocking these cherry red, smooth leather boots for a long, long time. I was in search of fashionable work boots with a slip resistant sole, and Dr. Martens 1460 Work Booth in Smooth Leather fit the bill. The key word was FASHIONABLE, as I found many work boots or loafers too ugly to justify the higher price tags. These shoes earned me frequent compliments from customers and coworkers alike. While I find that these shoes leaned more toward fashion than manual work safety standards (the oil and fat slip resistance wore away as I abused the soles daily), I cannot deny the comfort factor. At least... after the first two weeks of breaking them in. For the uninitiated, these shoes felt like they also came with daggers conveniently placed at the angles that will hurt you the most. My heels, calves, and tops of my feet were rubbed raw. Although I didnt bleed, I scabbed; the scars lasted for months before fading completely. When I came home and removed the shoes, it looked like I had been beaten up. During the breaking in period, I tried the works: Socks, band aids, and stretching the shoes at night. It was a nightmare. Then, suddenly it all went away. What remained was the famed "air cushioned sole" that everyone was talking about. While I was on my feet for over 8 hours per day walking, crouching, stooping, bending, running, etc., I came home feeling great. Maybe with slightly tingly sore calves at the most. My actual feet did not suffer, and my arches were fine. Note that I am not predisposed to orthopedic issues, but I sincerely believe that these Docs provided the comfort and quality that I needed. This Smooth type leather was advertised as one of the sturdiest, so the difficult breaking in period was to be expected. I cannot speak for the quality of the actual leather itself because I failed to take care of it properly. I did clean and conditioning the boots for a month before I gave up and decided these would be fine to destroy. After about 4 months, they cracked severely and no amount of conditioning could save them. 4 months sounds short, but keep in mind that I was putting them through a lot of stress and filthy conditions. Plenty of motor oil was involved - it probably ate away at the leather. From afar, the yellow stitching at the sole appears black and indistinguishable from my boot. I also had to give up the yellow laces because they were too stained - it looked nasty. I have mostly stopped wearing my 1460s aside from utilitarian purposes (working, hiking, etc.), but I will occasionally put them on for a grunge look. If I were to purchase another pair for just looks, then I would go with the Pascal made with nappa or virginia leather so I can look edgy without sending my feet to hell and back. The pain and suffering shall be remembered in the form of one star withheld.
