They are just a little bit wider than expected. But it is good to know when you order a wide width you get what you order. Its nothing that a thicker pair of socks wont take care of. As for the boot themselves they are totally awesome. This is my third pair and my old ones (which I still use on occasion) are 5 1/2 years old. They are the best boots that I have owned, and I have worn many pairs of boots in my 40+ year career in the Sawmill and Logging industry. Most importantly of all they are extremely comfortable. Im not sure which size shoe I am reviewing. I ordered the 8 and it was way too small. The strange thing is I usually wear an 8 in Merrell. So I returned the size 8 and ordered a 9. The 9 fits perfectly. I will only buy hiking shoes, boots, etc. with Goretex. That is the only way I am sure they are waterproof. Almost every shoe company is going to a proprietary "waterproof" style. Unfortunately, I tried a pair of Merrells with their own waterproofing and it was not good. If you want the real deal stick to Goretex! I wore these boots recently on a trip to Florida. They are so comfortable. Like walking on air. Even walked on the beach and didnt care if there was water or sand. I kept an eye on this pair of boots and was able to get them for less than $115. So if you are patient you might be able to get a great deal!

Great Boot. Very comfortable right out of the box, super light, good support, and excellent traction. However, the reason I bought this over the non-Gore-Tex version, is for the waterproofing. I bought them in anticipation of a short trip to Iceland. Unfortunately, both right and left boots leaked water at the medial toebox. There was quite a bit of rain, but I did not stand in deep water or walk through anything deeper then the sole of the shoe. Disappointing, otherwise a fantastic shoe. I will have to return it.

I bought a pair of these 3 years ago and these are about a month old. I like the abundance of ventilating mesh. I wear them about 6 months through the summer, almost exclusively. I walk on wet concrete and a hot parking lot 4 days a week and the rest of the time is not much different. These have been, and still are the best ventilated shoes Ive had. At 60 and being on my feet a good chunk of that, this is something I appreciate. Talking about my previous pair. The soles held up well and I went through 3 sets of laces (expected) and never replaced the innersole (should have). A few months ago I noticed my feet getting wet. The sole and upper were separating at the big toe. Considering all the squatting I do this is normal for my shoes. I hope these are still available 3 years from now.

****** Review is on the seller not the shoe.******** These shoes have been returned by someone else, They have hair in the shoes from animals had has sock lint inside the shoe. The outside and soles look fine and does not appear to be worn outside, but definitely not new I tried the shoe on and fits perfect and feels great. But will return and buy another pair. Amazon products seem to be going down hill lately. Shipping is late a lot, and when Im buying 150 dollar pair of shoes, I expect them to be unworn and NEW
