Ive had a difficult time finding wide hiking boots. I bought Keen boots because while they didnt offer wide sizes, people reported that they were naturally wide. They didnt work for me at all. The wide sizes in this model fit great for me. So far the boots have held up well after ~50 miles in Yellowstone, Grand Teton and the woods around home. I replaced the insoles with arch supporting athletic inserts. Most stock liners are fairly useless and these are no exception. What I like about these the most is that the treads are soft enough to have grip without falling apart when going over rocks or rough terrain. Ive been crossing wide stream using a fallen tree for a bridge, and these have gripped better than any boots or shoes Ive ever worn. Theyre also lighter weight than most hiking boots Ive worn.

I got these shoes about a month ago, & have been wearing them to work ever since. It fits great, is really comfortable, while at the same time maintaining a good look. I highly recommended it. Note: it does get a bit slippery on water, so be careful with that. But I love the fact that its water proof. I give kids showers while using them. It gets soaked on the outside, but never seeps in. Overall it a great buy!

My husband works in landscaping, and he wears these everyday. Everyday! They are waterproof, for sure. He works in wet and dry weather and he loves them. The tread is still kicking strong and he has had no problems with the quick-lace prongs. The shoe has been strongly holding on to the sole, unlike in some of the reviews I read before deciding on these. All in all they are a great workbook for a great price. His fit as expected. Oh, and just a note on where he wears these boots, Middle Georgia, so lots of muck & dust.

I absolutely love these boots. As with all boots, I highly recommend changing the Inserts to tailor them to your feet, but aside from that, they are very nicely designed, very durable, and well worth the price tag, as they will FAR outlast and outperform any of the cheap imitations. When you spend 14 hours a day in your footwear, you better go for quality. Its all the difference between back and leg pain, proper posture, and even wear on your tendons and joints. Timberland has never disappointed. You arent paying for a name or a logo, you are paying for quality that is second to none. UPDATE. After only 3 months these boots are all but destroyed. I had to glue the bottoms back on both of them, one after only one month! They are very poorly made and fall apart under any usage. The only reason for any stars at all is that they actually look nice. They arent even comfortable. As previously mentioned I had to change the inserts!!!! This is the second air of Timberlands Ive owned. The previous didnt fare much better. I can honestly say Ill never buy another.

Waterproof. Unless they get wet. The first time I wore them in the rain my socks got soaked.
