After my first waterproof work boots I got from Scheels quit working, and after my water proof caterpillar work boots I got off here quit working I took a chance on these and so far they are working great. The first two work boots I had only lasted one year each. These have so far worked pretty well, though I dont believe its been a full year yet. However, they show no signs of breaking down yet. I take care of them pretty well, by cleaning them and putting a type of leather protectant on them they have stayed nice. Pros: 1. The composite toe which absorbs blows pretty well. No need for steel toe where I work but this helps. 2. Waterproof (so far). 3. Looks good. (hard to find a good pair of work boots that also look nice) 4. Laces have surprisingly held up even till now. But you never know. 5. Felt pretty comfy at first (though its starting to wear off or go away? Possibly the padding on the inside is wearing out cause of use idk). Cons: 1. Squeaky. Unfortunately these squeak a lot especially on polished floors. I was hoping it would go away once they got broke in and wore off the first layer on the bottom but they continue to squeak. Not as bad some some shoes iv seen but its a bit annoying. Though might be okay to endure this to have good boots. Only time will tell. 2. Feels like the cushion on the bottom is wearing out but its been over 6 months I would say so its not a big surprise. I am guessing every boot the cushion wears out. Just need to maybe look into getting inserts soon. Not a big con. So, I like these boots so far. I am just worried they will wear out after just one years of use like every other boot iv tried. I want a boot that can last at least a few years before needing replacing. I know its not as profitable for the company when they dont get a sale as often. But if I have a good quality boot that lasts a long time, im for sure gonna keep giving my business to that company. I want reliability and dependability when it comes to important stuff such as what im having to stand on for sometimes hours a day. I will update this in the future if I come across any problems.

Im a Timberland customer for many years and bought these to replace my Workforce Pros. Sadly, I have to return the first pair because they are just too big. I wear a 9d and the 9m is huge. They are too wide and too long. They feel like size 9.5 or even 10. I also noted something digging into my ankle which is probably the lace stud. I cant say if its unique to this particular shoe or not. They look like nice boots for my needs (home use, wood cutting etc) and Ill try another pair. People have commented they are "heavy". I disagree. The very first thing I noticed about them was how light they were (as compared to my WF Pros). I like the soles better on these too. The soles on the WF Pros are smooth and stiff, making them slippery in adverse conditions. The soles on the Boondocks are more akin to old school Vibrams, which I MISS. Ill update and finalize as it happens . . .

I am no stranger to work boots. I have worn leading brands. I read up on the reviews before purchasing this boot. Okay, first of all, this boot is made out of synthetic man made materials. Due to this, the boot is very warm. You can not get away with wearing cheap run of the mill socks while working in these non-insulated boots. Again, really, ...they are warm, notably. I upgraded my socks due to this. I didnt have much of a choice if I wanted to enjoy these boots on a 12 hour shift schedule. Now, the best part for last - These are by far the most comfortable work boots Ive ever worn. End of story. The insoles are as good as its going to get, next to being barefoot around the house free from any footwear issue. Best boots as far as comfort goes that Ive ever experienced in my life. Lastly, they are a little on the bulky side. A little heavy and a bit tacky in appearance. They feel very secure however. No worries here. Your feet are safe. The built in toe cap made of rubber is nice, too. I prefer 100 percent leather boots, but because of the comfort this boot provides to my feet, I would definitely purchase again, and most likely will be. Nothing compares to this in terms of comfort. Also, If you have wide feet, get wide.

My last pair was the most comfortable boot I have ever worn, this set seems to be a bit different, but maybe thats my feet? I spent far more for Red wings and kept having them fail waterproofing, even a month into owing them and treating them with silicone. I had a pair of these and they stayed dry for almost a year before I had issues and by then I had about worn off the soles. I could buy two pair for what I paid for the Red Wings. I sometimes walk up to 5 miles a day and have trouble standing in one spot without my dogs barking, these boots help with that a bunch!

I do construction a couple days a week and needed something comfortable and basically bulletproof. Problem is that I have very wide toes. Wide width shoes dont usually help that much since they usually add more fabric to the midsection of the shoe, which isnt where I needed. I tried on nearly a dozen different boots including other Timberland Pros, Redwings, Catepillar, Wolverine, etc and none had a toebox that was comfortable enough. Some would have been ok had they been plain leather toes since they would have stretched a little, but because I wanted a safety toe, my toes kept smashing into or rubbing against the hard toe boxes. These finally gave me a beautifully wide toebox. In fact, these have almost too much available volume. These are huge! Not too long, but just a huge amount of volume. I added another couple thin insoles to eat up some of the volume and they fit well now. The anti-fatigue insole is fantastic, and I can do 10-12 hours without nearly the pain and soreness as even very good running shoes. They have saved my feet several times already (a nail actually bent against the bottom instead of puncturing my foot) and have been more than worth the money. I spent time standing in mud and still water with zero leaks. If they reduced the overall volume (mainly vertical), I think these would be the finest workboots available. As is, while they work for me, they might be too big overall for others with more normally shaped feet.
