I have just emailed Amazon about these boots. I purchased these as a gift in late October. The heels on both boots have split in the exact same location and manner. This leads me to believe there is a manufacturer defect. Timberland is usually a quality brand which is why they are worth the money. I have confidence that Amazon will help us resolve this issue.

This is a nice boots, very soft leather, i really love the reddish color but the size seems smaller and wider than the timberland pro direct attach boots. The size difference is very little but i could tell the size difference compared to my direct attach boots. Nevertheless, this a nice pair of boots from Timberland. Update: the sole of his boots is not as soft as the direct attach timberland pros. The outsole is also not as "sticky" when used on snow/icy ground. If you want a really protected feel, you should go with the Timberland pro direct attach boots. This is more of a casual boots rather than a work boots for me. Again, the reddish color of the leather is amazing! :)

A day and a half of light duty "working", front sole peeling off both. Embarrassing. One star because its the lowest rating. Great seller though

Very comfortable work boots. They are alot lighter then I expected. They are very soft on the feet meaning there is no brake In period to me it was perfect. The only problem I have with them is that the tongue is always moving to the right and I am constantly adjusting it and the same boot makes a squeaking sound from the heal area. I have only had them 1 week and worn them 3 times. The tongue is the most annoying part. Other then the 2 things I listed they seem to be decent. I imagine the pair of Timberland pro boots I got may be defective. Update Amazon exchanged my the the boots for a non defective pair and man I tell you what. I am never going back to a different brand of work boots. I am on my feet for alot of the day pumping concrete. Back pain literally gone,sore feet not anymore. Durability I have been putting them to the test from stepping in wet concrete while pumping to soaking them to see how water proff they are to and wow never was a believer in work boots that cost to much but almost 6 months and they are still as comfortable as when I first got them.

The quality of the boots is acceptable for the price, but theyre also nothing to write home about. I havent experienced any separation issues as other reviewers have had and Ive been using them just about 8 hours a day for a good month now. Theyre pretty alright boots. I just wanted a cheap pair to temporarily replace my Thorogood pair. That said though, do not buy these if youre going to be walking in even barely wet conditions. They have absolutely zero traction when even just a small bit of water is present. My other boots are bald and they genuinely get better traction than these boots do right out of the box, which Im surprised is possible. The pattern they use on the sole of these shoes combined with the darker rubber layer (harder) results in pretty much no traction at all when even the smallest amount of water is present on the floor. And Im quite used to these conditions on top of it. So if youre looking for non-slip, do -not- buy these boots. As far as the quality overall goes, for the price its pretty acceptable. If you want boots that will last and feel great and not have any issues, then youre looking to double the price.
