These are the best shoes I have ever worn in the gym! I suffer from bad muscle imbalances due to a displaced hip and nothing has helped me more in recovering my form than these shoes. I could tell a huge difference the first day wearing them. You can really feel exactly where you’re landing on the bottoms of your feet, and move to correct. I’ve tried working out barefoot, in flat bottom shoes like chuck Taylor’s, and many athletic shoes, nothing compares to the VG’s. My calves are sore from some light running on the treadmill in these but it feels good. Highly recommend to anyone interested in barefoot or zero-drop shoes. They do run a bit large, I usually wear a 9.5 or 10 and had to return these for a 9. Kudos to amazon as well for the free, easy, and quick return process!

Unless you like wearing clown shoes (see picture) I would recommend sizing down 1/2 to 1 full size. I usually wear between 11.5–12 men’s athletic shoes, depending on the brand. I ordered an 11.5 and they were way too big. I will be returning these for a smaller pair because other than the sizing issue I really like the shoes. Maybe my feet are shrinking. Now that I think about it, I’ve had at least 2 pair of Merrell shoes before and they all ran big.

Very good shoes, great fit - good balance in minimalism. These are not a full barefoot running shoe. Though the sole is not substantial its enough to protect your feet from concrete and gravel running - which is very helpful for someone who hasnt developed the soles of a fire-walker. The only thing the show is missing I wish theyd kept from the earlier model is the hook on the heel for pulling the shoe on. It was a great feature on older pairs and Im not sure why they got rid of it.

I want to be fair. These are cool shoes -no doubt. However, they were different than I expected and didnt suit my needs exactly. These are very "minimal" shoes and if you arent used to barefoot running, you are in for a surprise. This shoe offers no support in that regard, and your muscles will pick up the slack. However, if thats your thing -you will love them. The shoes and "plasticky" on the inside, meaning that if you do not wear socks, you will feel the seams rub and could get a blister. You might think that they are mesh, but not exactly. Wear some socks and it is perfect! They are very lightweight and comfortable for walking. Im keeping the shoes to help train me for barefoot running. It provides a very different experience from other running shoes.

These are by far the most comfortable minimalist shoe I have ever worn! This is my second pair...I started with the Vapor Glove 2. They have amazing flexibility in the sole with a great feel for maintaining support! They fit exactly to size!! If you are looking for a shoe that moves with your foot while giving you the necessary protection...these are the ones!!! Update: I have now purchased 3 of these because I love them so much but have come to find that the top mesh begins to wear and tear within the first 2 months. Bought a pair for my wife and in 3 months (she trains 5 days per week) her big toe started tearing theough the top mesh. If the toe box is widened just a smidge and the mesh gets reinforced this shoe is perfect!!
