Let me start by saying I love New Balance brand shoes. But this pair fell short. The first time I went to put these shoes on the tongue in the left shoe ripped right off...it seemed to be held on with 2 or 3 stitches at most. As I have had many other pairs of this brands shoes, I know it was just this pair that has been poor,y produced but it still frustrates me.

Size is good. Toe area is wide which is what I wanted. I wear a 101/2 W shoe and ordered a 12 W shoe from New Balance. Fits perfectly for me. Lots of toe room. Shoe has a great deal of cushioning but still has the necessary form to hold my foot in place for jogging comfortably.

I like the retro New Balance styles and these are no different. I really appreciate that NB makes almost everything in both a wide and extra wide. Theres not much at all for arch support but you could put insoles in them if you really wanted. This isnt a running shoe so I dont expect it to support like one. I got a 4E pair and they are PLENTY wide for me. Ive never really had a bad pair of NB. They look cool too.

New Balance used to be great for wide feet but they’ve gotten more and more narrow. The 4e fit like a 2e and the arch support is about an inch farther back than my arch. With that said, they look great and after a month they’re comfortable enough for wearing to work but not for a day of walking around.
