I typically have good luck with New Balance for my son (who has an extra wide foot) but this shoe is tight- even for a half size up. I extended the laces as much as possible and I can see the sides of his foot are cramped and the top of his foot is right up to the roof of the shoe. I wish I could return but I threw away all my packaging thinking this was just like all the other New Balance shoes. Disappointed but I will be more careful in the future

Very disappointed. Every pair of New Balance Ive ever purchased has fit as expected. I can literally go into any store and pick up a 9 4E and it always fits the same way; not these. My toe is within about a quarter inch from the end and the width is closer to a 2E. Not sure what happened when these were made but its an epic fail.

Ive bought New Balance sneakers for several years now because I need a wide option and not many athletic shoes manufacturers offer them. It is convenient now that old-man style shoes are the trend because these retro sneakers are definitely not modern or sleak. The shoes are very comfortable, they are a reliable size, and they are sturdy enough to last. The price I paid for these (which is no longer available) was much lower here than on Zappos -- where I have traditionally bought these shoes.

I bought one size up because reviews said these were to small and went for the wide option. I usually find size 12 m to be a little snug so I got 13 instead. They have a nice appearance, but really have too much movement/slide when walking. I definitely could not use these for running. I think if I bought size 12 they would have fit better. So really I should have just bought my usual size.

I have tried these on and am debating on returning them for another pair of 608 New Balance shoes. These 515 models look better than other New Balance styles, but the comfort is not the same. These are stiff, and the heels are elevated. I ordered the 4E wide and they arent quite wide enough. They also feel more like an 11.8 than a size 12.
