I bought the 990V5 (V5) to replace my 990V4 (V4). I really liked the V4, but I love the V5! The V5 is my new favorite work out shoe, and I currently use a few different brands. I use my V5s for walking outdoors, treadmill walking and running, and for using an elliptical. I do not use the V5s for running outdoors on hard streets or sidewalks. When I walk indoors or out, its usually 4 to 5 miles. I spend 45 minutes to an hour on the elliptical. I am not that knowledgeable about the technical aspects of shoes, but I know what feels good to me. Also, I havent worn these to work or any events that require a lot of standing, so i cant comment how these feel for standing on your feet for great lengths of time. The V5s fit very comfortably for me; they are snug, but not too snug as to be tight. Good room in the toe box and heel, but they dont slip around on my feet. The soles are also very comfortable - great, thick feeling cushion that feel solid while nicely absorbing the impact of my feet. The uppers are solid and strong, but still offer good flexibility. For walking outdoors or on a treadmill, the V5s are comfortable and deliver a confidence inspiring performance. The V5s feel a little heavier than my other brands of running shoes. But, the V5s feel more solid and stable, so I dont mind if they do weigh more. For elliptical use, the V5s feel pretty good for about 30 minutes, then one of my feet go numb. This is common for me with any shoe that I wear on the elliptical. Other elliptical users I know have the same problem. So, I dont blame my foot numbness on the shoe. I bought the black V5s and theyre a pretty sharp looking shoe. I feel very good about buying the 990V5s!

At first these sneakers felt a bit larger than normal NB’s , but I tightened up the laces and I’ve been Las Vegas the last few days sn they are so comfortable. They’re wider than normal, but you get used it. Walked 17k steps yesterday.

First of all these are not "sneakers" and the above description of these shoes by Amazon is idiotic and devoid of useful information. I have the various iterations of this shoe for the last 20 years along with a smattering of other running shoes. These are the finest iteration yet and a great running shoe that combines support, cushioning and flexible sole. In summmary if you need support in your running shoes these are spectacular and just feel great while running. I highly recommend them.

The shoe looks and wears very much like the V4s do, just a few cosmetic changes. I love the shoes. As time goes by more colors may become available.

Had these since they first came out years ago, model # might change but shoe is great. Go to shoe . Works great looks great fits great. Yes I have tried other brands but always keep these. Can’t be beat.
