Narrow. 4E feel like D. NB wide shoes used to be wide. Good color choices though. Having been a long time NB user it is time to find something else. Sad. Getting tough to find shoes with wide toe box. Plus socks are getting thicker to make things worse.

Having a few different colors of the 574 style sneakers, they all are a comfortable fit and lightweight. When I first started getting this brand and style many of the reviews mentioned that they run small. I have ordered a half size larger than I normally wear each time and they fit perfectly. They are used for general wearing (not for any fitness training) and will be rotated with my other sneakers so based on how the other color styles have worn I am expecting they will last for quite a while. Cleaning on the others colors has been simple and they have maintained their color well.

These are great sneakers. My wife has sworn by them forever. My son (who is a competitive runner uses these as his go to daily training sneaker). I need to lose weight and get in shape and figured I would try them out. They provide a lot of support, are very comfortable, and most importantly they fit perfect. Been getting a lot of use out of them over the last week and so far Ive avoided the foot and shin pain that Ive experienced in the past with other sneakers.

Disappointing that a 4E width is not 4E and comes as a basic shoe width perhaps slightly wider than a medium or D. Shoe looked okay but the width was small. Been seeing that on reviews and its a shame. I bought a Brooks Ghost 11 instead and OMG! what a phenominal shoe. Feels like walking on clouds. Have also seen new Balance lengths run small. Will not buy New Balance again.

I have been wearing New Balance since they were actually made in America. I usually was good with a D width, but based on comments on Amazon I went with the 4E width. A bit roomy without socks, but fine when wearing socks. My biggest complaint about New Balance for the past 10 years or so is that they make the shoe laces WAY TOO LONG. You have to ask least double knot them. This retro models laces werent quite as long as more recent pairs, so Im happy about that. Despite flaws, hard to find a more comfortable walking around shoe.
