I have mortons toe, metatarsal pain and wide feet. Its difficult to find shoes that dont increase the foot, knee and back pain I experience every day. I got the wide version of these shoes and absolutely love them. They are a great fit for what I need. The are comfortable and very good looking. I was surprised by the price because I was going towards the $150^ price range trying to find a good shoe. I put a metatarsal pan on the insole and Ia crushing. These greatly reduced the pain in my body. I recommend them and will buy them again

Greetings! I went from Brooks Walking Addiction shoes to these, and I was hoping they would hold up through the brutal 5-8 miles of nonstop work on concrete with my job. Well after over a year of abuse, my Brooks finally gave up and went to the shoe store in the sky. I needed new shoes, but money was tight and I couldnt afford the Brooks, even though regular shoes do not last a month in my line of work. I went with these Rockports and held my breath while putting them on. Oh, hallelujah. They are actually super comfortable. Many of you have commented that they feel broken in as you put them on, and I can attest to that. They are very comfortable from the start. Now, I have had them about a month. But, my shoes still look brand new. I notice no visible wear on them even after the abuse I have already put them through. These shoes are also nice enough that I wore them to a funeral with a button-up and dress pants. Thus, they will work as dress shoes. The only con I can think of is the sole is not as thick as I would like for them to be. I walk my dog in these and we walk on gravel, and I can occasionally feel a gravel poke at my foot through my shoe, whereas on my Brooks I never felt that. I also feel as though some of the cushion has worn down, which is to be expected as much as I walk. They are still my preferred shoe. I abuse them, and they are holding up. If these can make it to tax return time, I will probably purchase two pairs. If not, I guess I will go back to Brooks. But so far these Rockports are giving Brooks a run for their money. Nice product, Rockport.

Took on a trip to Europe. The shoes got wet in Amsterdam, 3rd day into trip, and the toe of the right shoe disconnected. Spent three weeks flapping around. I’ve glued it back with super glue and it’s held up for the past two months. A little disappointed. Wanted a good walking shoe.

I bought these for my husband who is 84 and they fit him perfectly. He put them on and they were comfortable right from the box, no break in period needed. The quality seems very good. We are very happy with these for every day wear, plus they look good enough to be worn for just about every casual outing. Great tread and stability too. Would definitely recommend them. Update 2018 - My husband enjoyed these so much that I just bought a replacent pair. The shoes are identical, however, the laces are (no kidding) 6 INCHES shorter than his original pair. He is almost 86 years old and cannot tie them, they are so short. I had to remove the old laces from his original pair to use in the new shoes. NOT COOL .. This just seems like a petty, cost saving measure from a reputable, honest company. I am disappointed. Quality, premium priced shoes with shoe laces so short they can barely be tied. I expected better from you guys. However, the shoes themselves are excellent. Put them on, and go. No break in period and he loves them. Rockport - Get on the ball and put the 50" laces back on these !!!!! I am not kidding!!! I dropped the rating down a star for this faux pas.

I purchased this pair looking for a good quality walking shoe that wasnt crazy expensive, had a casual look that could go with almost any type of clothing, and was comfortable. I think I found that with the Rockport Chransons! Ive been wearing this pair for about a month with the original insoles as my primary pair of shoes, and theyve been all over London, Copenhagen, and parts of Florida nonstop. Theyre showing almost no signs of wear and still maintain the original colors pretty well. I knocked off a star because the size seems to be fairly large. My foot is an 11 but even the 10.5 shoe was a tad large. I recommend buying these shoes a half size smaller than you normally wear.
