I bought these shoes because the winter weather was causing severe damage to a somewhat expensive pair of To Boot NY cap-toes that I usually wear to work, so I wanted an inexpensive pair of shoes to wear during the winter months. This is the best pair of shoes your money can buy for $50. They look professional and stand up to everyday wear without a scratch (although I specifically bought black because I expected to wear them in dirty conditions - I cannot speak for other colors). They’re extremenyl comfortable because of some kind of padded interior and can be slipped on and off without having to be retied. Bottom line, if you need a pair of every day, conservative, durable shoes to wear with a suit, these shoes are probably what you want. They’re not Salvatore Ferragamo, but they’re probably worth at least twice as much as what they cost. Very solid and unbeatable price.

So these are very comfortable shoes especially for the price. The sole is very comfortable and the width fits perfect. The only kind of bad thing I have to say would be is that there is about a quarter inch too much space in the toe box. If youre new to these types of dress shoes, you should usually have some play towards the toe because they narrow and no play means uncomfortable toes. So with these shoes there is the normal toe box space but with a little extra. Enough to notice the space but not enough to make the shoe feel loose. Hope this helps.

Fits perfectly, no break-in, upper and insole leathers are flawless and stitched well. Insole is not removable; I augmented the arch support with a pair of Walk Hero orthotic full-sole inserts, which I remove to air at night. I wear these daily in an office environment with some outdoor sidewalk exposure (maybe 1/2 mile per day); there is no visible wear on the sole after 2 weeks. At $55, Ill buy a second pair and rotate them; I should be able to get several years out of them. Obviously, these arent AEs, but youre not paying AE prices, either. Highly recommended.

These Clarks are typical of the brand - they fit well, they are comfortable, and they are an overall joy to wear. The look is on par with most shoes of its type, but the comfort of these is far above others I have worn in the past. I appreciate the cushion feel to them and love the fact that I can get up and walk around the office without feeling like I need to either take my shoes off or wear another pair to work. Well done shoe by a great brand.

shoe is 1/2" narrower than other shoes of the same size (I measured). different brands may run slightly larger or smaller I understand, but why would you call a narrow shoe "wide"?. and now I have to pay to return it. they charge $6 for return.
