I have several Clarks shoes and they all seem well made. However, just be aware that they run large--at least in my size. I wear 10EE in Asics, Hoka and Brooks running shoes. But Clarks are sized like my Bates boots. Even going down a half size to 9.5 XW, I can still comfortably wear thicker socks. The light brown leather stains with rain drops, which had me worried at first, but it dries without spots. These are very comfortable, and Im happy now that Ive found that Clarks consistently run large.

The original version of this show had nicer leather, a dark leather contract strip at the toe, and nicer materials in general. These have an odd color that make them look like a synthetic material even though the upper is leather. Feels more cheaply made than the older version. Id gladly pay more to have a better shoe like the original. Listen to your customers! Im not the only one that feels this way if you do a search.

WoW, totally impressed with these shoes. They look great. Yes, they are pretty shiny, so keep that in mind. On the casual-to-dressy spectrum that makes them lean a little more on the dressy side, but still versatile. Look great with jeans or chinos. These are also some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They are lined with a soft material and have a great insole! I usually rip out the factory insole and replace. This is unnecessary as these are awesome. Sizing recommendations are accurate. Go down a half size. I wear an 11 and the 10.5 is PERFECT!

These shoes are not the original Touareg that I was lead to believe. They are cheap. I am a pilot and have used the original ones because they were dressy enough with the uniform and casual enough in street clothes plus the original has rubber soles which I need. These soles are plastic and the design is close but not the same construction. I wish I could still find the original Clarks but dont buy these! Amazon was great accepting the return which were still new in the box even though I had stored them in the closet past the return date before I noticed the mistake.

I should have heeded the review from Toddius. I have been through two brown and one black pair of Clarks Tourags and they were the best shoes Ive ever worn - great for both casual and dressier occasions. This new model of Tourag looks similar to the old shoe at first glance but is nowhere near the same shoe. The upper went from a well-wearing leather with nice finishing touches and color tones to a thin, cheap feeling "leather". The color is also several shades lighter than the advertised photos and much less appealing. The soles used to be a very durable rubber and have been replaced by what feels like a lightweight foamy plastic. These might get you by in a pinch but they are overpriced for the quality youre getting and I doubt they will hold up long. The quality of this shoe made me go from a Clarks fan to someone who will likely not buy another Clarks product based on the direction they appear to be heading with their materials and quality.
