In some ways, writing this review shortly after purchase (as Im requested to do by Amazon) is unfair. The shoes are new. It may take some time for them to be broken in and to feel comfortable. The problem is that they are a replacement for a previous pair that finally wore out after many years of great wear. The old pair was comfortable from day 1, and never felt somewhat narrow. The new pair does. Hopefully, the new shoes will "loosen up" a little after I wear them several times. If not, I may have to request an exchange, or refund. I still give the shoes a 4-star rating because they do feel "cushiony" like my old pair, which my favorite pair of casual dress shoes ever (and Im 63!).

Started wearing these on October 12, 2018 was sold by Amazon Services. Large rip on left shoe after 3 months, 3 MONTHS. Called to see if they could do anything to help as that is a very short shelf life for Cole Haan, heard the "outside our policy, nothing we can do" line. Shoe fits comfortable and looks nice but the ones I got were cheaply made and would never recommend anyone buy them especially if they are sold by Amazon Services and will be treated this way by customer service.

These shoes were a reduced price due to some scratches on the top of the shoe. The scratches were hardly noticeable, even less so after a little polish. Amazon Warehouse descriptions are always spot on, I have been pleased with my purchases from there. The shoes themselves are comfortable, and look nice. They are on the dressy side for a slip-on shoe, which is the look I was after

The shoe looks nice and fits as expected. I only gave this four stars instead of five because the sole is rather thin and clearly is going to wear out fairly soon. I purchased these in August and now by October the wear is significant. Yes, I walk 5+ miles every day in them, but the soles of my Merrills were still ok after two years (some 3,500 miles of walking). I expect that these will have to be replaced early next year. Still at this price one has to question whether in fact it may be better to have four shoes like this at $50 versus a $200 pair of shoes that lasts four times as long.

My husband has owned multiple pairs of these loafers and worn them for long periods of time with no issues. This most recent pair fell apart within a week. Too late for a refund unfortunately, he didnt start wearing them right away.
