Im not a person who works in an industry where I am on my feet, and I normally love dockers, but I purchased there shoes on January 17th, and they are already looking extremely worse for where. My other dockers have a nicer interior and these have a separate glued in sole insert. The laces on one shoe completely disintegrated on one end and I just had to purchase replacement laces. One of the 2 shoes makes a sound when walking like air is in some part of the shoe and squeaking out every second. This has been an extremely mild winter where Im at, and there is no reason these shoes look terrible after 2 months other than poor construction. My other pair of dockers from amazon were Dockers Mens Trustee Oxford,Black, ordered last march, that lasted until this January when i purchased the new ones, and the january purchased ones in 2 months are looking as bad as the 1 year old shoes.

I just purchased these shoes for the second time. What I love about these shoes is the quality that you are getting for the price. (I paid $50 for 10 1/2 Wide). In the past, I had paid for high quality expensive shoes (I consider $150 expensive), but they always showed signs of significant wear within a year, so I figured it wasnt worth it, as I didnt want to repeatedly pay for shoes that werent going to last. However, I ran into the problem of finding lower cost dress shoes that were comfortable, especially under $100. So, thats why I love these. They are very comfortable and look professional enough for work. Maybe if I was an investment banker, I would need better quality shoes. But, if I was an investment banker, I could afford better quality shoes. For my middle management job where I am making enough bucks just to get by, and everyone at work knows it, these are just fine.

Im an IT guy at a bank and have to adhere to the office dress code. I also have wide "Hobbit feet" as my wife calls them. This was the first shoe I bought when I took the job, six years ago. At the time, I found they were comfortable, but not incredibly durable or attractive. The soles will wear out after five or six months and split along the creases. Theyre still wearable in this condition and you may not even notice until you step in an shallow puddle and find your socks have suddenly become soaking-wet. Since I had the first soaked-feet experience, I have tried several times to find shoes that are as comfortable, better-looking, more durable, and (most important) in the same price range. I have determined it cant be done. For the price, these are the best dress shoes you can find, especially if youre a guy with wide feet. If you wear them regularly, youll end up going through 2-3 pairs per year, but Ive decided its worth it.

1. Very good-quality leather upper . 2. Accepts polish well. Cleans up easily. 3. Good traction. 4. Very good price. 5. Very cheap shoe laces. (~3 month life?!. . . vs 3 years) 6. Cheapish sole quality. Thin and not durable. Almost all of my walking is on carpet and they still wear quickly. However, they more durable than marshmallows and thicker than paper. If these shoes had Goodyear Neolite soles and durable laces, WOW!, it would be a super value. Neolite soles are "the cats meow"! I am considering doing a ShoeGoo modification. It is almost as if Dockers licensed someone else to produce these. Tough to find these in a larger W I D EEE size. I like them and have been buying these for a couple decades (or more??). I think the original quality was better.

The shoes are sturdy; they fit and look great, but.... 1. The laces are absolute garbage - this is not my opinion, this is simply fact: get ready to toss them out. Tying them (or attempting to) is a galactic joke. Dont even bother, just replace them immediately. 2. The leather itself is nice and shiny, however it is VERY prone to scuffing/scratching. 3. The tongue is stretched so tightly that I feel as if my front footpads are constantly being held down, which causes my ankle to rise while striding - rubbing them against the stiff-backed heel (wearing down my socks and irritating the backs of my feet). TLDR: If youre looking for something eye-catching for an interview or a one-of occasion, these might just do the trick for the pricetag. However, if youre looking for something comfortable to wear daily that will hold up, Id recommend avoiding these. Dockers has hardly ever disappointed me, but these really feel like a cheap $25 pair from Payless with Dockers logo stitched on.
