Ive ordered around 10 pairs of these for routine daily wear over the last 4 or 5 years. The pair I ordered a few weeks ago immediately gave me issues when I went to re-string the laces - they seemed hard to pull through the last pair of eyelets. I noticed over time that the eyelets seemed to be actually grabbing onto the fabric of the laces - and this was on both sides of the laces on both shoes. Within maybe 2 or 3 weeks of wearing them routinely, both sets of laces have developed tears in their fabric, which in prior pairs might happen after 7 or 8 months of wear. I attempted to submit a complaint via the Dockers website, but they only emailed me a warranty return form - meaning I would need to incur the expense to mail this pair of shoes back (and wear something else to work in the mean time, I guess?), and then cross my fingers that their QA folks would correctly identify the sharp edges on the eyelets or just declare "wear and tear" and send them back. I just hope they improve their factory QC process and catch the issue with the eyelets. I might try an Amazon return for a new pair and see if this one was just a fluke - Ill adjust my review accordingly if and when the issue seems resolved.

I have been wearing these same shoes for several years now. They are constructed very well, are affordable, look good and importantly for me have rubber soles. It is difficult to find rubber soles these days but the added traction makes me feel much more secure. I like them so much I went ahead and ordered 3 pair. The only complaint I have is the awful cotton shoelaces that come with them. They are way too long and quickly wear out. Do yourself a favor and order some black Kiwi 27" laces, the thin kind will work perfect. ------- Update 6 - 2017 I wear these shoes 5 days a week to an office. They seem to last about 1 1/2 years. Each time they wear out has been in the rubber soles near the ball of my foot. Not that Im complaining, I think 1 1/2 years is great for shoes. Very comfortable, not hot. I really like a thicker shoelace like OrthoStep Round Athletic Shoelaces (approx. 1/8 inch wide laces) which you can find here on Amazon. They work great with Ukrainian Lacing (check Instructables.com) and Ians Secure Shoelace Knot (from Ians Shoelace Site), almost life-changing. See the pictures for how I tie the laces. see less

These shoes have basically nothing special going for them. No support, interior isnt really that comfortable, and they feel pretty cheap. They look great but even in as little as one month I see they are wrinkling and showing wear. Mind you I work in an office and move a bit, but not enough to warrant the wear of these shoes. The only great things about them are that they come in wide varieties and theyre cheap. If you sit at your desk all day theyre a great pair of shoes for a budget... but if you need to walk a lot dont bother. You get what you pay for.

The top rated helpful review is over 8 years old. These are not the same Dockers for 2010. Dockers have always been a lower cost shoe but they have now made the soles very cheap. My last pair had a rubber type sole and gripped wet surface reasonably well. The new sole is made of a plastic and slides on all dry surfaces. I dont even want to think about trying to walk down wet parking deck stairs. Sending them back.

Ive ordered two pairs of these shoes. They fit and feel great, but fall apart way too fast. My first pair lasted me all of 6 months of normal office use, during which it started to come apart where the sole meets the heel of my foot, causing it to make a whoosh noise from both shoes. Ive been wearing my new pair for 2 weeks and theres already a huge hole where the sole attaches and the whoosh noise is worse than ever. I thought my first pair was a fluke and fell apart early, now I think they were a fluke and lasted longer than expected. Wont be buying this shoe again and will be wary of other Dockers products.
