Been wearing these for about a week now. Freaking fantastic shoes! I get tons of compliments. These shoes definatelly give the professional look while in class studying to be a Speech Language Pathologist and as a Allstate Insurance worker. So normally I am about a size 10 US, so I bought a US10. The shoes were way too big so i ordered another pair in size US9. Pros: 1. REAL LEATHER! 2. Comfortable fit. 3. Actually are hand painted like the attached label says. It noticed that both pairs of shoes were slightly different. Cons: 1. Strong leatherly smell. Went away after two or three times of use.

I bought the Splendo-1 classic black cap toe, and I was a little worried reading the comments about this shoe fitting large. I have a narrow foot size 12, so I ordered a full size down (11) since there wasnt a half size. I was very glad, because even with putting an additional medium-thin insole in the shoe, it fits just perfect. If had ordered 12 I would have been wearing a boat! The one thing Ill say is that the leather is very stiff and will take some breaking in. But I have done that with good shoes before. Once you get past a few days of sore spots or blisters, it will calm down. I put some Lexol non-darkening neatsfoot oil on them to help soften them up, then Im going to do some serious walking. Maybe Ill put an update on my post after breaking them in. Overall, they look great and well-made, and I hope they will last. Just be aware that they run large.

I specifically wanted to write a review because of all the "smell" critics. First of all, note how all the reviews state how great the shoe looks and feels. It is a great shoe. Feels as good as any other leather dress shoe I have and the price is way under what it could be. But the smell that people are talking about is bad if youre a whiny little baby that doesnt like the smell of sharpie for a few hours. ITS NOT THAT BAD. Do not pass up these shoes because of the smell reviews.

Im not sure why some said to buy a size larger, I wear a 9 and ordered and 9 and they fit perfectly. I love these shoes! They didnt require being broke in. I wore them for about an hour around the house when I received them, and then I wore them to work the next day with no problems. I am going to order another pair in a different color because they are a great shoe. Yes, it is true that the leather smell is strong initially, but it only provides proof they are genuine. Dont let the leather smell keep you from getting these shoes

I bought these for to wear to my college graduation in the winter of 2017. So around 11 months ago. I had to foot the bill (hehe) and these bad boys were a reasonable price. They looked great, just how i expected them to look. They are a lighter brown than what you typically see, which is what I was looking for. I rarely used them after graduation. Quick break for some pros: -Price was great for a college budget -Looked professional -Seemed like genuine leather to me (i really have no idea Im not a shoe expert) Cons: -The bottoms are kinda hard. I expect this is what it is like for most dress shoes? Not really that bad. Just thought i would put that in there for the sensitive feet out there. They work for me. Not as comfortable my friends Cole Hanns or however you spell it, but that is to be expected -Kinda have a weird smell to them, but i think that is from the leather Then comes big boy job searching. I wore them with slacks and a blazer (I was too broke for a suit). The look was professional. Nailed a job interview got a job in Wine sales. I am walking all day in my stores, moving wine cases around, stooping and kneeling. These puppies are still looking good and doing what they are supposed to do, even after all the wine I have spilled on them. I get a lot of compliments, about my shoes, from people in my accounts. All around, a good starter pair for a fair price. I will be looking to upgrade at some point, but in the meantime, these will fit the bill.
