I purchased these shoes on 7/3/2018. They are now out of service. This review is being submitted 5/10/19 so you can see they lasted less than a year. I did wear them five days a week during that period. Although I indicated the shoes fit okay for the first three or four weeks my outside ankle bone on my right foot rubbed against the edge of the shoe until the shoe stretched out along that edge. Thats the first time I ever experienced that with a pair of shoes. The shoe were never comfortable and provided little support for the foot. The cushioning was very limited and most resulted from a molded foamy sole which looked like it would be comfortable in the picture but wasnt comfortable. The wear on the sole for the time period is beyond excessive but the worse part was trying to walk on wet concrete. Boy you better be very careful on wet concrete with these shoes. The upper did hold up well and the shoes still look good cosmetically. In closing Ill just say I couldt wait for two thing with these shoes. First to get home so I could take them off and second to wear them long enough to justify new shoes. Yes, I have new shoes and they are not Rockport shoes.

This is my second pair. I have a wide foot (EEE) so I bought the wide version. Plenty of room in the toe box for wide feet. I have a standing desk and I stand all day (8-10 hours). These shoes are very comfortable and support my feet. The soles are thick and wide, so its easy to stand. The only issue I have is they look a bit cheap and goofy. the leather is smooth- I would prefer a grain in it. I have a black pair and a brown pair. The brown pair is lighter in color- not an attractive shade of brown. They need to make a chocolate brown cover. The reason Im giving them a 4 star instead of a 5 star is because of the grain and color, not the comfort.

The #hoe is beautiful. Rockport the manufacturer is a pain which is why I give the shoes 4 stars instead of 5. I simply wanted to replace a pair of worn shoes. The styles were identical. The size, however, is different. So, I have had to order and return 2 boxes so far to get the right size when I wanted a simple transaction to replace the same RoCkport shoes I have that are worn out. As such, ordering Rockport shoes online will be a on-off experience as going to the shoe store, which I wanted to avoid, would have been more efficient.

Rockport shoes have really gone downhill! I was shocked at how cheap these shoes looked and even more at how uncomfortable they were. Ive been wearing Rockports for a decade and loving them and I will keep wearing my current pair that I bought two years ago until they fall to pieces. Im very sad that I will probably never get another pair, though, because I tried several and they are all junk.

First Review Ever: I never take the time to write a review, although I do appreciate those who do. I make an exception here because of my experience. These are the only shoes Ive ever been able to "hit the ground running" in. Im an RN, so I take anywhere from 7,000 to 16,000 steps a day. Most people seem a little surprised when they see me in these shoes, as most RNs where I work wear some kind of fancy looking new tennis shoes. I am frequently asked if they are comfortable. This seems strange to me, as if my preference would be to wear uncomfortable shoes while on my feet for 12-18 hours a day! These shoes arrived last Friday. They replaced the exact same model and size I bought used at a thrift store two years ago. Those were the only shoes I wore during that entire time. I wore the soles right off of them. For the last few months, I have been concerned that I would run into difficulty replacing them. To my amazement, I actually found them here on Amazon within about 60 seconds, and ordered them immediately. I have never been able to tolerate a new pair of shoes right out of the box for more than about an hour at a time until I could get them "broke in." I figured that would be the case with these as well. I was most pleasantly surprised to the contrary. They arrived in the morning. Right out of the box, I was impressed with how well they fit and how comfortable they were. I had initially planned to try to wear them for an hour or so each day until I could tolerate them well enough to wear them to work. I ended up wearing them all day Friday. Granted, I only took about 1,700 steps in them that first day, but I found myself saying several times throughout the day that I might just be able to wear them to work the following day. So I did. I have now taken more than 30,000 steps in them, and I am looking forward to the next 3 million. Thanks for a great shoe Rockport!!
