DISCLAIMER: Shoes are a thing that are worn on stinking, dirty, sweaty feet and may occasionally be plunged into dog doo-doo or worse. They are not a fashion statement. Wear shoes that are comfortable and appropriate to your dress and function. If you need or want comfortable shoes that are not "tennis shoes" for any reason (for me its work), then these are for you. I have a high instep and have a hard time finding supportive shoes. I have walked out of many a shoe store without finding a single shoe I can wear. I took a chance (on the Sketcher name) on these for my first on-line shoe purchase and they have now become my SECOND on-line shoe purchase. I can pound around on concrete all day long without foot pain and discomfort. I would get home from work and NOT change shoes. I wore the first pair slap-dab out before I retired them and they are still my working-around-the-house shoes. Another plus is that sneakers get ratty and dirty as they age an wear, these shoes can be polished and waxed and develop "character" as they age.

I tend to overthink and worry about things, so sometimes the simplest purchase dredges up a thousand What Ifs. In hindsight, as one is EXPECTED to NOT get the correct size/fit for shoes on the 1st try, Amazon factors this in and allows for easy returns (with restrictions). Once I figured that out, bought two different sizes, kept the one that fit best, and set the other back for credit. Done! But as I tend to worry overmuch, I did stumble over a few things: - Part number here for the "M" version is 64260/BLK ("M" is not listed anywhere) - Part number here for the "Wide" version is 64260EW/BLK ("EW" is listed) - I was aiming for a shoe in the 10-ish wide range, but also wanted it to have Enough Room in case I ever had to wear an ankle bandage again, so figured I would need something larger. Unfortunately only the 10.5EW and 11.5EW were "Prime Eligible", so went with those two choices and ignored trying the 11.0 and 12.0 versions. 10.5EW version fit, but when I tried to simulate the extra "stuff" for a bandage, etc, it was too tight. So went with the 11.5EW and tacked on some of those rubber heel/tongue thingees to help out. Also learned about Prime Wardrobe, which seems like a FANTASTIC way of guessing ones way to the proper size, but that did not work here as at least three qualifying items are needed. For what it is worth, the 11.5EW is indeed wider than the 12.0(M), as I happened to have a 12.0(M) from a previous local-store-purchase. I would guess that the 10.5EW is about the same width (ish) as the 12.0(M). Comparing Local Buying vs Amazon (Amazon wins, obviously) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 01) Head to local self-service store #1 (a discount/designer? shoe place). - no "Wides" anywhere, would have to go with a "13.0(M)" in brown, or order their 13.0(M) black online. Bye! 02) Stores #2-4 were varying degrees of bad to worse to "I wasted gas driving here". 03) Checked with Amazon and discovered they sold/stocked the mythical "wide" versions of this shoe. 04) Called the manufacturer (overthinking again) to confirm "M" vs "EW". 05) Rolled dice and purchased 10.5EW and 11.5EW (11.0EW not available). 06) Picked up shoes from Friendly Amazon Locker at 4:30pm last Saturday. 07) Remembered that the local UPS store "closes" at 5pm on Saturdays. (oops) 08) Tried both sets of shoes, kept the 11.5 and put the 10.5 back in its box/re-sealable shipping envelope. 09) Created a return for the 10.5, and off to UPS Store for a 4:59pm drop off. 10) Received credit for the 10.5, and the 11.5s are sticking around! Irony is that the Amazon price was LESS than the "discount/designer?" shoe store, assuming said store actually had the correct size in stock (they didnt).

shoes have very hard back support. for the first week I have to put bandage to save feet from rubbing. I thought it would be breaking down with wear, but after 3 weeks the inner plastic heel destroyed the shoe lining and several pairs of my socks. I returned it. Thanks to Amazon for quick response and refund.

Skechers are great products! I bought this to replace my older Skecher that I wore for 10 years. The only reason I replaced my old Skechers for this one is because of the memory foam. The other show was comfortable, but this feels like you are walking on a cloud. Very comfortable and very durable. Nice looking! Fit as expected and advertised. I would definitely recommend this shoe!

These shoes are so awkward to wear to work in a quiet office because every single step I take makes a loud squeaking sound. The reason is because the leather tongue rubs against the leather by the laces. Ive somewhat remedied this by wrapping tape around the edges of the tongue, but they still make noise. They fit well and are comfortable though.
