These shoes are what I have come to expect from Timberland. Ive had these shoes for about 10 months. No issues. I wear a 12.5 but I pull the footbed and replace it with a Dr. Scholls Active Series or leave the footbed and add the Dr. Scholls; whichever gets the fit better. These shoes wear like boots, they are comfortable, and look good. I wear them all day and have never have an issue with comfort. The only negative is the laces. I double knot them because they tend to untie on their own.

I bought a pair of the soft toes over 4.5 years ago and they were the best work shoe I have ever owned. Comfortable, tough, soft soles...really perfect. Something has changed it seems; the Safety Toe shoes seem to be small (Even though I ordered a wide) and the soles were really hard. I wore them for five or six days and shipped them back to Timberland. (They have a thirty day comfort guarantee policy. If you wear them and they are uncomfortable, you return them and they refund what you spent. Although it cost $18 to send them back via USPS) Maybe the soft toes are fine...the safety toes were awful.

This was one of three pairs of shoes I purchased at the same time. The others were a workout shoe (The New Balance Mens MX20 Minimus Training Shoe at amazon.com/New-Balance-MX20-Minimus-Training/dp/B00DOEQRA6/) and a work shoe (The Timberland PRO Mens 61009 Mudsill Low Steel Toe Oxford,Blue/Blue at http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XF2OKQ). I bought each in 14 Wide (this is sometimes called "2E"). The Oxford was for the office, the Minimus for working out, and the work shoe was for a sturdy sneaker and walking shoe. These shoes are far more comfortable than the office shoe I had before and had plenty of room for a Dr. Scholls insert for more padding. I like them very much but, like many dress shoes, they scuff easily — on the brake pedal of the car, for instance. Still a good shine and some TLC should keep them nice enough for some time. They arent a "dress" shoe, per se, but more of a standard office shoe that you can wear with just about any kind of khaki, twill, or dress slacks.

Best safety shoe Ive ever wore, wore out between 12-15 pairs of these. I get about 8-10 months before my waddle wears out the heels, some reviewers claim to get years out of these. I continue to buy as these fit my feet out of the box and are the most comfortable for all day intensive activity. Only downsides Ive experienced are the heels seem to wear fast and for some reason the right one keeps coming untied, heels probably wear faster due to the softer material that makes them comfortable to wear for 12-16 hours, I could go back 50 years and learn how to tie my shoelaces but probably wouldnt pay attention again. One of my favorite things about theses shoes is when the friendly safety ******* asks if they are steel toe I say no, after watching the veins pop out and getting the talk on safety I ask what they got against titanium, A bit pricey, but worth it.

These have to be one of the best shoes I have ever purchased. They strike a great balance between work boot and walking shoe. Its basically a very sturdy shoe, and the composite toe is a godsend if you work in a place where steel toe boots are not required but you constantly find yourself slamming your feet into heavy objects. I have owned my pair for a year and they are starting to showing some, mainly superficial, signs of aging, but they are still very comfortable to wear and very sturdy.
