I ordered an XL at first because some of the reviews stated these belts ran small. I can only assume they are wearing the belt around their lower waist, which in that case, if your hips or waist are larger than your rib cage area, you would need a larger size. The XL was way too big for where I wear this belt. So I kept the XL and ordered a L and it’s PERFECTION. I definitely suggest measuring the area you intend on wearing the belt before ordering.

Im 5 2" and 148lbs and a wee bit squishy around the middle. The large belt fits comfortably and I like that its also adjustable unlike other elastic belts.

I bought this belt to upgrade my flimsy belt that came with my Mrs. Clause Santa dress. I was torn between a M & L because I’m a 31.5 inch waist. Based on other reviews I bought the M and it fits great on the last hole. It’s a stretchy material too so it’s comfortable and could accommodate me going up and down in weight. I like it so much I’m going to incorporate it into my regular wardrobe.
