I bought several of these in different colors because the description stated that they are viscose and acrylic. When they arrived the package says that they are part silk. I dont buy silk because the process of making silk kills the silk worms. I would really like to know if these are silk or not. The word silk only has one meaning. The scarves are beautiful, but thats not the point. Whether they are or are not silk, one of the two descriptions is incorrect, and Id really like to know if they are or are not silk.

As is often the situation when online shopping, the color defined and the color pictured do not match. That was the case with this. It was defined "sage" and that is exactly what it is. On my computer it was more subdued and grayish which is what I wanted. While I like the shawl very much, the colors dont work for me, however they are perfect for my friend for whom I was actually shopping when I found this. It is beautifully reversible for a great look. So all worked out quite well.

Upon opening the box, I could tell the colors were completely different than what was pictured. I wanted something pale, with a definite silver-and-gold look to it it (which is what it appeared to be in the photo.) What I received was dark bronze. Not a bad color, but not at all what I needed. Just to check the quality, I opened a corner of the plastic bag, and it does feel fairly soft, if a little thin. I returned it unused (and almost unopened) for a refund. If all you want is a soft, thin, shawl and arent particular about the color, this might suit you. If color is at all important, give it a pass.
