This summery scarf arrived with a chemical smell. I washed it out in the sink quickly, and the smell is gone. I wore it during the summer, especially in the evenings and didn’t suffer any bites. It’s pretty and easy to wear different ways. Exactly what I wanted.

I like how large this scarf is. Its quite sheer when not folded. You could use it as a shawl, and also around your neck, although it is a bit bulky for putting around your neck. The color is not the most flattering to my (super light) skin tone, but it works with blacks and the dark rainforest green clothes that I take on expeditions. I think it keeps the bugs off, but when Im out on treks, I tend to have bug spray on, too.

I wore this in Kenya and still got bitten but not like on my neck where it was. Its super cute so for design and wear - 5. For bug repellent...I just odnt know. Id rather purchase this again than the super expensive brands anyway.

Loved the scarf - size, color, everything! Really wanted to be able keep it. But my body did not like the chemical in it. So I had to return it. :(

These scarves are perfect for dawn and dusk in Florida. They look nice and keep the noseeums at bay! I have a range of colors and hand them out to guests to use during their visit.
